Andy, I was so sorry to read this after a weekend away. Not what I expected at all. It seems you do not want to share the reason as to why he was denied and banned with an open forum. Might I suggest you PM one of our older members like Yodrak, Aussiewench, Meuxna on your situation, they might be able to give you some ideas on what is next. You can then use what you learn from people who have been in your situation or seen the same happen to others and compare it to anything you might get from a lawyer. My pm box is always open, you know this so if I can help in anyway drop me a line.

For now my heart goes out to you. Pick yourself up as best you can and find the answers you need to help resolve your situation.

Bethanie

Summer,

I know how devastating a 221(g) is and being in the dark until you have some closure or the adjudication of your visa but I cannot phanthom the pain you are enduring now. I do not know your circumstances and do not know if an attorney could shed some light on your case to you but it is worth a try. Make an appointment with an immigration lawyer as soon as possible. All you can do is what I did when I was in the processing I prayed (and still for all on VJ daily) to give me the strength, courage, and answers (we had some bumps) to endure this and overcome all obstacles. May you and Andy find a solution and be reunited as a whole family soon.

Hugs,

Mary

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Summer, :( I don't even know what to say. Every time I hear something like this (although I believe I've never heard anything quite this sad) my heart aches for that person, remembering the feelings that I felt the times we've been dealt various blows by immigration. Even with a deportation and a subsequent unwaiverable 3 year ban, I can't imagine what you must be feeling. I do know what it's like to cry yourself to sleep and spend your days like a zombie though. Please just do your best to keep on living for right now, take it minute by minute, nourish yourself, and get plenty of rest. The shock is going to take a long long time to wear off. Take a good couple of weeks to sort through this and figure out what you want to do. I know my first thoughts whenever things like this happened were never what I ended up doing. We don't know each other, but I can relate to what you're feeling. If you want to talk to me, please just let me know. Another thing I would suggest would be going to Laurel Scott's chat room (she is our attorney, and the best that I know of as far as knowledge and experience dealing with various immigration "offenses" and problems). The chat room is free and it's on Wednesday at 11 am Central time at www.visacentral.net

If there are any options available to you, she will know.

May God, our Comforter and Counselor, draw you close to his side. His will is good and perfect. Take comfort in knowing that your life is in His hands, and "no power of Hell or scheme of man" can ever change that. The words of the song "I am a sheep" always help me in difficult times: When the wind blows, He is my shelter, and when I'm lost and alone, He rescues me, and when the lion comes, He is my victory, constantly watching over me..."

Don't let the sunshine spoil your rain...just stand up and COMPLAIN!

Hi Summer,

I am so sorry to hear of this...Take a few days to regain yourself. Rest, eat and be good to yourself.

After you are feeling stronger-realize your inner strength, and fight like you never have before.

Do not accept this... Challenge it.

Do some research. Get legal advice.

Phone your senator, your congressman, and do EVERYTHING YOU CAN to fight this.

He is your husband. You are his wife. This is your life.

Fight it with all you have.

Do not accept this denial-regardless of circumstances-there HAS to be a way to appeal this.

I wish you all the luck and strength there is in this world.

Hugs,

Rose

thank you... this is all so overwhelming and surreal. I have been battling the flu since the 8th of Dec. ...and shock, no it doesn't wear off, or fade away. I am clinging to Christ, in need of severe help.

I am trying to get in touch with an immigration attorney and have had no calls returned. We have 30 days from denial to appeal. I don't even know if we have a case to appeal.

...each comment made, is making a difference in our lives. thank you~

Seriously, Summer, at least go to Laurel's chat. I'm telling you, I would trust her with anything-she specializes in these kinds of cases. And she is very accessible. If you feel like you don't want to wait, go to her web site-it's www.visacentral.net

Click on Consultation, and it will give you instructions as to how to do that...you have to pay a little bit for it ($35 when I did it) but it's worth it, and in this case time is of the essence. Laurel will answer your e-mails. She's been our attorney for over a year, and she's always very prompt to answer. She will tell you if there's any legal options to explore, and also she will not hesitate to tell you if this is the end of the road. Let me know if I can help you get in contact with her.

I am stunned by your news Summer. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. I am sure your devastated, as anyone would be and you have every right to feel that way. I have to agree with another poster tho, take your moments to cry, be angry, hurt etc. Then FIGHT, fight with everything you have and never give up. I dont get the impression that your the type to take this lying down, as you have already started contacting lawyers, so go get them, you have all the encouragement and support here. Be strong for your children and family (my prayers are for your mother as well) they need you as much as you need them. As your faith in God has shown in your posts, talk to your minister, anything that you do to help your struggle will give you more strength to keep the journey moving. Always remeber that there are other people cheering you on and praying for you and Andy. Good luck and God bless!

While Laurel Scott is an experienced immigration attorney, her specialty is filing for waivers through the Mexican consulate.

Immigration law is Federal law - you can choose an attorney anywhere in the US to help. It does not need to be someone local to you.
