Hi! Does any of the august fillers who got approved really quickly got their nvc case number? Did anyone try to call them and has some news?

We are July filers with a quick NOA2 from California. I have called DOS and NVC and nothing has been received yet. I know that some folks are hearing 8 weeks (as a standard NVC response) now from NVC. Vermont and Texas are sending their approvals much quicker currently than California.

Good luck and I suppose every part of this journey requires great patience. :)

Yes I received my nvc case # on 09/12. My NOA2 is on 08/09/13 with NOA1 on 03/11/13. And now am stuck in Administrative process for 'unknown' period. It is just wait after wait. Not sure what the heck they were doing for 5 months prior to approving 129F. It seems like we need million aprovals before we get a visa in hand.

I know one thing. I am not going to wait 30 minutes to talk to some call center agent to state " we don't have that case number on file, wait 8 weeks".

Waste of 30 minutes this morning. I will e-mail them.

Unlike some, I am in no mad rush for them to receive it. I am still studying in America, and the longer this sprawls out, the longer I can stay here :)

Best of luck to you all. Try emailing, certainly less hassle than waiting 30 minutes for a 20 second call.

Thanks for responses. I think it is weird. Noa2 vaildity is 4 monts. If we wait for nvc more than two monts as some fillers it just doesnt have sense cause we know that appointment for interview also takes a month in some countries. Plus the time papers get to the embassy. It is really tense deadline!

the expiration means nothing

it is automatically extended by both nvc and the embassy

if it gets to the embassy and there is no contact with them for 4 months.. that might be a different conversation

I have been assured that the expiration date, is a soft expiration date. You will just need a new notarized letter of intent to be married from the petitioner, and they should automatically "extend" the expiration date.

I think that is the case for London anyway, from what I have been told from Nich-Nick, who is one of the most knowledgeable people on these forums.
