USEM Forced a Reschedule From Oct. 2

Just a quick alert to anyone who had an Oct. 2 interview scheduled (like we did). We got an email from them saying they will not conduct interviews on that day (for whatever god-knows reason), and we have to call and reschedule, giving me a temporary heart attack, given I had arranged to fly out there to be with her for the interview Sept. 22-Oct. 6. Thankfully, she was able to get it rescheduled to Sept. 25, a week earlier, so I can still be there for her.

Whew! Dodged a bullet for sure....

I looked around on the embassy website and there is nothing mentioned about the 2nd of October, weird. Wonder what is happening.

I did find that the IV unit is closed this Friday though.

I see now that they opened up November, and added available slots throughout the final two weeks of October. I think they are forcing everyone off the first week or so of October. Smells like some overhaul, which I'll be glad to avoid, being rescheduled for the only date available prior to all that. There seem to be a lot of slots available for that date (Sept. 25), as I notice that is still open too.

I-129F Sent :

I-129F NOA1 : 2013-03-20

I-129F NOA2 : 2013-07-28

Interview Date : 19 AUG 2013 cancelled due to flooding Sept 11 2013

Interview Result : Approved!

Visa Received : 18 Sept

US Entry : 26 Sept 2013

Estimates/Stats : Your I-129f was approved in 130 days from your NOA1 date.

Married 12-15-2013!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AOS- When I get the cash for it

A guy shouldnt have to go through all this hassle to bring a girl over

Wow... so glad that I was able to have the SUPERFAST reflexes to completely SNAG Sept 18 and get medical AND interview done in 3 consecutive days..... bec the date we have was Oct 25!!!!

The delay is probably weather related....

Our K-1 VISA Process & NCLEX-RN Exam Status

  • 04/24/2013 - I-129F Sent
  • 04/29/2013 - NOA1 Touched
  • 05/02/2013 - Left to visit my baby for the 3rd time!
  • 05/03/2013 - NOA1 Hardcopy received
  • 06/04/2013 - Flight back to the U.S.
  • 07/29/2013 - NOA2 (approval text) received (only 87 days since NOA1 Notice Date)
  • 08/02/2013 - NOA2 Hardcopy received
  • 08/14/2013 - Mailed all necessary post-NOA2 docs to sweetheart in preparation for her medical/interview!
  • 08/19/2013 - Manila Case # given by NVC (exactly 3 wks since NOA2)
  • 08/26/2013 - Manila Case # Hardcopy received, perfect timing for...
  • 08/26/2013 - Our 1-year ANNIVERSARY! dancin5hr.gif

Yeah I thought the same thing too. We did not receive any email or any written notice about it so I still insists she shows up on her Oct 2 interview. Worst case, she will be told that her interview is moved or they will just see her then. The only reason I think she still need to show up because our interview notice was dated for Oct 2 and no replacement notice whatsoever for a new date.
