HELP requested from Aussies and Ozzies please

Hi folks..

I have spent endless hours researching my embassy and I can not find the answer to my question.. so I am askin you all down under.

there is NO and I mean like NONE information on Fiji

situation:

me - usc spouse

her - Fijian citizen

interview Oct 2

I have seen some smatterings in aussie migration sites that Fiji is considered a high risk country for immigration into Australia. I guess I am asking kinda.. like .. what do you guys think ?

I have learned that my wife is the first 130 interview for Fiji for 2013, yip you heard me right... she has already been turned down for a tourist visa (while 130 was pending) for obvious reasons, I had filed and cancelled a 129 for the same woman because we got married and I had to change paths. I am well aware Fijians do immigrate here (USA) illegally through tourist visas, which obviously we are not doing. But I also know there isn't really a high number of Fijians traveling to the states overall due to the cost and distance. the bona fides are all good, my mom was at the wedding and I was there for almost 9 months last year. the us embassy there is hella slow.. like ten people or less in the visa section when she went. my aos is filed on assets only where I am somewhere a little over the half way point of the 3x and 5x rule.

from an aussie/oz point of view, is there a lot of fake marriages to get Fijians in the country? anyone got any feedback on the financial piece?

anyway, as you can see I am kind of having a problem phrasing this but I think you got my message.

any thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated.. positive or negative are all good.. I got thick skin ;)

You mean to get Fijians into Australia? Not that I've heard.

My friend married a Fijian and went through DCF at the US embassy in Fiji to get him his CR-1 visa (this was a few years ago, back when DCF could be done at any embassy/consulate). They had pretty smooth sailing. He is now a US citizen.

haha, nope Fijian to US. I could find plenty about Fijians to Australia.

I am obviously getting a little nervous as we get closer to interview time.

thanks for the 10% reduction in my blood pressure today :)
