Biometrics taken...still says Acceptance on USCIS site...

Hi there,

Can anyone advise how long it takes/took for them to change the status on the USCIS website from Acceptance to Initial Review for I-485 after the biometrics were taken? Biometrics were taken on 9/10/13 and it still says Acceptance on the site...although for the 1-765 it says Initial Review (and has since before biometrics were taken).

It took 77 days from filing for me to get my EAD/AP. I am waiting for something for AOS still. As you are a K-1 there is a possibility that your case could be waived which would mean it could take 6-12 months to approve the case for AOS. You should receive your EAD/AP within 70-90 days of filing.

Thanks for the reply. I am aware of how long it takes to receive the EAD and GC and have read about the waivers being issued but why might they (according to the website) still be in the Acceptance stage and not in the Initial Review stage of the I-485 since they already did biometrics? Does it take them awhile to update their site (according to the Initial Review description they would be in the Initial Review stage when biometrics are taken)?

USCIS might never update its website. Updating happens spottily.

My case status took nine months to change-- from acceptance to decision/card production. In between, there were no updates. I would sign up for the e-alerts. I got an email when the status changed.

_{My wife's case status for I-485 was "case not found" on the site until it was approved 8 months later - then it finally showed it as "decision". I wouldn't sweat it too much, even if the site doesn't update again.}

We have the opposite problem. The I-765 still says acceptance and the I-485 says RFE response review. His biometrics were taken 8/29. I apparently sent in an outdated AOS form, so that was just updated on 9/5. I've been stalking the status every day.

They do not update their online system in a reliable manner, so you might not get any updates at all. My case is still in "Case Not Found" mode after more than six months.

Hello. We just mailed the aos package sep17 and we got a msc# that states the I-765 is already in

"Initial review" is this possible? We don't hand a msc# for the I485 yet. When should we expect that? This process is confusing. :/
