Was it you? I honestly didn't remember so I didn't want to pin it on you if you didn't actually say it.

You did try to tell me they meant "Kenyan-American" ... which is silly. Referring to someone as their "ancestral origin" rather than their name doesn't make sense unless someone's trying to use it as a slight against the person somehow.

Nobody's ever called him "Kenyan-American" in a conversation here. Ever. They always leave out that American part - why do you think that is?

LOl you knew it was me

My only point is that logically calling him the Kenyan can't be racist while calling him African american isn't It is the same thing

I didn't. It was between you and Harsh. I should have known it was you, though, since I remember at least understanding the argument..

It isn't the same thing. Though consistently insisting on calling him "the African American" rather than his name would still be ridiculous. Who else does this happen to? They are not calling him American ANYTHING. Simply Kenyan.

Again, you're missing the fact that they aren't calling him African-American or Kenyan American or whatever.

Why would they consistently leave out the American part?

Again, I ask you which other President has ever been consistently referred to by his "ancestral origins" rather than his name?

it can be bad when you consider the reason behind calling him the kenyan. hint: it has nothing to do with geography and everything to do with donald trump.

I've been to Windsor many times. I met my wife there.

Ever been to Caesars Casino on the river? Good times.

I've experienced the opposite. When I moved here, people would warn me about the harsh Wisconsin winters I was about to experience. The weather is exactly the same.

I think people just say things to say them half the time. If they actually thought about what they were saying, they might stop themselves.

I can't stand to watch winter weather updates from the upper midwest, just watching makes my balls shrivel.

exactly You ever hear Clinton called European American ?

We are all Americans

Setting someone apart because of their skin color for a special label is racist

African American is Racist

Why only specify blacks continent of origin

RACIST

What other President has had to consistently attempt to prove he's American, only to still have people NOT refer to him as such? Anyone?

One of my colleagues was raving about KY just the other day. "The most beautiful part of the world I've ever been to". He says he's found some kind of development there where everyone's from "around here" (the northeast) so it's perfect.

Well, there has been a pretty big influx of manufacturing here. The company I work for is Canadian, so a lot of the bosses are Canadian, Michigan, or South Africans. There are also varying other international manufacturers around this neck of the woods. It is quite beautiful but its still quite rural. I live in the third largest City in KY and its population is only around 65K. But Nashville is just down the road so its not a bad setup. Very religious and conservative too.

None

That is why singling him out as an African American is so wrong

Glad we agree this early

Why do you think he's been singled out in regards to his place of birth and ancestral origins?

The people you really want to argue with this will never respond.
