05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

from what i've read and gathered in this forum, this step is taking at different stages depending on your Service Center.

With the CSC it is one of the first steps, so no, no NOA2 any time soon (i'm talking days here). with others apparently, this is one of the last steps and your NOA2 should come soon.

good luck

Let's hope that this still holds true! I'm at TSC, so that would be great! Not getting my hopes up, though.)

Thanks for all your feedback!

Most likely your Fiance did not have an Alien number. This is a notice letting you know an Alien number was generated and assigned to your Fiance.

I got the "alien registration number changed" email on July 26th and got my NOA2 on September 10th. Nearly everyone gets that email a few days after NOA1 (with no bearing on when your NOA2 is gonna be), but some people have gotten a second "alien registration number changed" email hours/days before an NOA2.

You can stalk Igor's Timeline for an estimate of when people before your filing date are getting their approvals :)http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php

Good luck!

Hello All,

I got same message: On July 14, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

I checked the processing timeline and it show 5-6months down the road in Californa office.

I'm really really hoping for an approval soon, asuming I filed with all require doc's. Please give me hints...
