Sept. 18 Case remain READY

Hello vjyers.

I had my interview yesterday. I am worried about my case because according to the releasing officer the american consul didn't seem to finish his job after he interviewed me, the releasing officer told me my case was frozen or hang in american consul that's why they can't verify my case for final stage of my interview. I check my case in CEAC, it says my case is still READY. Anyone here who experienced the same with the american consul? How many days does it take before they update my case in CEAC? Should I worry that even my interview is still done, the status of my case remain READY?

As far as I remember, they will return your passport if you are denied or lacking something .

If the releasing officer said so, you better ask him/her what to do next , whether the Foreigner Consul needs more proof and /or set another appointment with him.

Hello, thank you for the reply. I told him if that's it, he said looks like no more problem with my papers, that's why he just let me go home. I cannot go back at embassy now that I am done with my interview already, I don't think they will allow me to go inside.

Wait 2 days and check CEAC. If they didn't issue a 221g, you are probably good to go. Just have to breathe and relax!
