on an interesting note... I saw Adk0290 post in another thread today, and turns out their K3 WAS approved on the same day as the I130, so now the retention makes sense They also have an interview date already, lucky bugs!

Finally received I-130 & I-129F NOA 2 notices via snail mail; Both notices say that the petition has been sent to NVC for processing.

I also just received both NOA2's in the mail, and was suprised to see it say the I-130 is being sent to NVC. Have to wonder whether it is really being sent, or something, or someone, triggered the wrong form letter.

Finally received I-130 & I-129F NOA 2 notices via snail mail; Both notices say that the petition has been sent to NVC for processing.

do you still check on the Same Site USCIS one??? or now that they are approved is there somewhere else to look?? Now I am starting to Panic... cause Now I am Clueless .. I thought the papers go to NVC and then straight to the Embassy... But now they can Request more papers before it goes??? We were approved on 02.06.2007 But now this seems to be a WHOLE NEW BALL GAME

added hoping2cher and CherylandMike - I'm very curious to see whether your petitions are actually forwarded, if so it would seem that USCIS is not following its own policy very well.

deemabrouk: only the actual NOA2 indicates whether an I130 petition has been approved or retained, not the website. With the new "streamlining" policy, if both the I129F and the I130 are approved, only the I129F should be forwarded to the NVC and the I130 will be retained until the spouse enters the U.S. and is ready to file for AOS - OR you can file an I824 and pay an additional $200 to have the I130 forwarded to the NVC, but I have not seen anyone have one approved yet.

Update:

Called NVC today, talked to a nice lady, she said that my I-129F was sent to the Chennai embassy today, and she gave me my Chennai case # MDR2007540XXX; Checked to see if my I-130 was received by the NVC, automated system states no record of case #.

So I think CSC just forwarded my I-129F to the NVC and not my I-130

Has ANYONE had their I824 processed yet and I-130 transferred to NVC?

Received USCIS email that I824 was approved on 2/28/07. However, we're almost done with the K3 paperwork, so most likely my wife will file for AOS stateside.
