Our Story ;)

We're going to start our journey soon. Right now, I'm starting to gather all the necessary documents.

I'm Kit. I'm originally from Iloilo Philippines, but I was raised on Guam since I was 1. I moved to the Philippines in March 2006 to attend college. I actually started college really late, at the age of 23. My fiance Richard "DJ Crack" is also from Iloilo.

October 2006 I was in my room, on the 2nd floor of my cousin Karen's house. We were both standing by the window looking out, when I looked down, I noticed her husband was talking to some guy. Out of curiosity (nothing more) I asked her who that guy was. She said he's the other dj that works with Garry at Club Pirates and he lives just outside of our street. For whatever reason, my cousin started to smile really big and get all excited. "I think he's single. I'll get his number from Garry and you text him" she said. So she took my cellphone pretending to be me, she started typing out a really long introduction. I don't remember what it said, but she kept insisting that I text him everyday until he replies. A week goes by and no reply. Garry later tells me its because Crack was on a ship for his 'navigational tour' for school so he can't reply.

One afternoon, before the start of semester break, I was at school waiting around to get all my clearance forms signed off by my teachers. I receive a text from Crack, introducing himself. Since then for two weeks we were just texting until such time that we both decided that it was time for us to meet. He invited me the 1st year anniversary / Halloween party of the club where he was working at. I can honestly say that I almost backed out, so glad I didn't.

That night was sort of a blur because I was getting myself drunk while I was waiting for him to approach me. I figured that with the alcohol in me, I won't be so shy.

The next day and everyday for 2 months, we were inseparable. He became a really good friend, thats all I saw him as. I come from a huge group of friends, a mix of guys and girls, so I was used to have a lot of very close male friends. That's all I saw him as, until Garry mentioned to me that Crack had fallen for me. It came as a complete shock.

Fast forward to New Year's eve 2006. We confessed how he felt and a week later I decided to give it a chance. January 7, 2007 we became official.

Our relationship has been a complete roller coaster ride. We have so many highs and just as many lows, but what relationship doesn't? He moved to Manila in 2010 and I would make it a point to see him at least once a year. In December 2011 we traveled to Malaysia together to attend the wedding of our good friend. The last time I saw my fiance was June 2012 just before I came back to Guam for good.

Now that I'm back on Guam, working, saving money, and trying to get my life in order. I can't see myself raising a family and making a good living in the Philippines. So I'm excited to finally be able to start this process. I know its going to be a very overwhelming journey, but it'll be worth it in the end!!

Thanks for reading smile.png
