Anyone have a positive story?Aug 16th we received our NOA2 and were so excited, WOW just a few more weeks.......................................But now everyday i listen to Well sir it will take 8 weeks to receive your file... maybe tomorrow?

Took them 6 weeks to receive mine !!! and believe me the wait at NVC is a long process too.

We received our NOA2 August 7th and every time I called NVC they said it can take up to 8 weeks, but after 2 weeks of calling every day we recieved our MNL# so just keep calling them. If the hold time on the phone at NVC is long you can always try the Department of State at 202-633-1225. They have access to the same info as the NVC.

Yes mine was there for only 2 weeks (from Sept 5-Sept 16)!! I guess it's a case by case situation. Good luck and stay positive!

June 3, 2013 - NOA1!

August 19, 2013 - NOA2! (email)

October 10, 2013 - NVC has our case, Vancouver number assigned

***Communications with Vancouver begging to put my case on hold a while due to house not selling!!!***

February 18, 2014 - Packet 3 Submitted

February 20, 2014 - Packet 4!!

May 5, 2014 - Medical

May 7, 2014 - Consulate Interview

May 13, 2014 - K1 visa in hand!!!

July 2, 2014 - POE (Sweetgrass)<p>

July 23, 2014 - apply for EI (mother of god that was confusing...)<p>

August 11, 2014 - finally get hitched!

September 16, 2014 - send off AOS/AP/EAD

We got approved last Aug 22. I wonder at what date NVC is at now. I noticed that vermont and texas are much faster than CSC at sending the approved petitions to NVC... Our service center is CSC and it looks like i'll be waiting a little bit longer :(

05/24/2103 - NOA1 (CSC)

05/29/2013 - A Number changed - May 29, 2013

RFE - none!

08/22/2013 - NOA2!

09/30/2013 - NVC assigned our case number

11/18/2013 - Visa Interview!! - APPROVED!

11/25/2013 - Visa ready for pickup

11/26/2013 - Visa in hand!

1/26/2014 - MNL to LAX flight =)

AOS Journey:

02/27/2014 - AOS and EAD NOA1

03/25/2014 - Biometrics Appointment

05/14/2014 - EAD approved!

05/17/2014 - EAD card received

09/02/2014 - Got my driver's license!

...still waiting for AOS approval :)

I used this number. It seemed less of a wait. 202-485-7600 select 1 and then select 0

Ours was 7 weeks. So hang in there...yours will be very soon. We were Aug 1st.

 5-20-2013 - Check Cashed USCIS

 9-20-2013 - NVC received!

10-7-2013  - Received at embassy Manila (17 days from receiving at NVC)

10-21-2013 - Passed Medical

10-25-2013 - Interview scheduled

10-25-2013 - Administrative Review

11-5-2013  -  Approved

11-13-2013 - Visa received

11-19-2013 - Leaving to PI

12-3-2013 - POE Seattle WA

  • May 9th NOA1
  • August 30th NOA
  • Arrived at NVC September 19th
  • In transit to Consulate September 20th
  • Arrived at Consulate and Ready September 23rd

It may be a record for least painful NVC transfer.
