I got approved for I129F how long is the wait to have an interview in the philippines. I got approved on Sept. 5, 2013

Next you need to contact NVC to get your MNL # (you could just wait for the NVC letter, but where is the fun in that).

Being a K-1, the beneficiary/visa applicant schedules the interview.

Congratulations!

My fiancee just got her Visa delivered yesterday, so I booked our flights. I'm so excited for you! The NOA2 had been one of the most exciting times of our journey--at the time--you'll be doing a more spontaneous happy dance when that visa arrives!

I am so thankful that I came upon this site and these posters, because if not for Visajourney I would have been lost and so down and out that I would have never made it here. Please do as others have stated and use the guides to make sure you have everything you need. If you have a question, believe me, others have been there and they will not hesitate to help. You've come to the right place!

Woohoo!

How about my job do i need something for it to go home and to be with her

All the answers you will need are either going to be in Sticky topics, in the "Guides" section at the top of the site, or in the Philippines forum (which Hank_ linked. And Hank_ is pretty much the authority on the Philippines side of things).

Take a breath. Do some reading. And then if you still don't know the answer, then ask. Because if you're like this now, you're going to be asking the same questions over and over when you hit Adjustment of Status, Removal of Conditions and Naturalization and asking to have your hand held the entire time instead of being able to fend for yourself.

"What's yours is mine!"

Can I still visit my fiancee in her country while the petition is still pending

It would be nice and appropriate to visit her and accompany her to the interview in Manila like I did . They did not ask my fiancee too many questions . In fact they were talking to me most of the time rofl.gif . Good luck on your journey .

How about my job do i need something for it to go home and to be with her

For your job you obviously need to file a leave tongue.png Kidding aside, you need your employer's letter stating your job and salary, if you are a permanent employee or otherwise, paystubs or W2, and 1040.

What should i bring to go with her during the interview.

Kindly take time to browse in either of these links. Both are very helpful for people who have the NOA2.

Hank_ Link: http://visaconnection-philippines.com/# <<<<---------- Has tabs to help with the various process throughout the K1 journey (made by one of the VJ members)

VJ link: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide <<<<-----------scroll down to a box with a heading of I-129F approve (NOA2)

Since you want to be with her during the interview then you can bring all of those instead of sending it to her. However, going to the interview with her does not guarantee that you will be coming back with her to the US for various reasons and not just denial. It can be because it will go through administrative processing (AP), be given a 221g form (lacking documents), or the courier just takes long to deliver the visa (which happens most of the time). With that in mind, if you want to accompany her coming to the US and at the same time attend the interview then you need carefully estimate your arrival and departure. Not easy as it will take up a lot of your time. It can range from weeks to months. Don't worry if you are not with her during any of those though. Some were just accompanied by their fiance on either the interview or the flight to the US or some are like me that had my fiance wait here in the US (because we found it more practical). smile.png
