Attending Biometrics with Spouse

When my husband gets his appointment to go to his Biometrics appointment, will I (the USC) need to go with him?

I ask because it might not be possible for me to take off work, but it's possible for one of my family member to take him. This shouldn't be a problem, right?

No you don't not need to be there... in a few offices they wont even allow you to sit with your spouse even if you do go... you have to wait in another area... I went on my own and had no problems....

Good Luck

My husband came with me for EVERY appointment we had, biometrics, EAD fingerprinting, all the interviews (for the kids and me), etc. and half the time it just wasn't necessary. He worries.

The biometrics appointment is simply one where they take fingerprints and a photo. If he can get there then you don't need to be there with him. It is the least stressful part of the entire process. I would save the time off work for when you really do need it!

Good Luck with everything.

Our journey started in 2001 and it's still not over. It's been a rollercoaster ride all the way! Let me off - I wanna be sick!

Excellent. I WILL save my time off requests for when it's more necessary, then.

I assumed it wasn't mandatory that I attend, but you never know with these things! There isn't much about the immigration process that makes sense....

Thanks again, guys.

Yeah, I might have to attend my biometrics alone and although it'd be nice to have my husband there it's good to know he doesn't have to be 'cus he's in a new job and it's so good to keep taking days off (he took one to get married already :P).
