I just got my RFE today saying

- You have submitted an English translation of a foreign birth certificate; please submit a copy of the applicant's foreign birth certificate issued by the appropriate civil authority.

- See the Department of State's Foreign Affairs Manual found online at http://www.state.gov/ for more information on foreign birth records for people born outside the United States

Does this just mean they need a copy of my German birth certificate? Or do they want something else? I am applying for the GC, so i am the applicant right?

Sorry, just scared to do something wrong.

Did you include a noterized copy of the original document in German or just the translated copy. It sounds like they only got the translation and they need a notarized copy of the original document

the rfe was for a COPY not an original certified or otherwise

I went through my stuff and just saw that i did not submit the orignial birth certificate before, only the certified translated one. so i send a copy of my original one and i should be good right? Theres a stamp on it from the German Courthouse and the ladys signature, thats enoguh right? Or do i have to go to some place so i can have someone sign of on it to be notarized?

There is absolutely no need for you to notarize it. Just make a simple black and white copy of it and send that, and then bring the original when you have the interview.
