Well they finally changed the status on the CEAC website, had previously been changed on Sep 9th. Turns out they're now looking at paperwork and should have an interview date in a week or 2. Over 6 weeks since we filed DS2001.

Howdy folks. We sent in paper work Sept. 7 and are still waiting for interview. When we check the CEAC it says READY and status updated Oct 8, so I guess we are just waiting for a paper with our interview date?Any idea how long this will take and any idea how much time they give you from the time you get the notice til the interview? Thanks.

Surprised to find today that our Packet 4 was sent on the 9th October - reason for the surprise was there was no CEAC Tracker update since the 27th September, so anyone who is sat there frantically refreshing their case status should know that it's not the be all and end all lol.

This is actually very reassuring news!

I find that it is the last thing I do at night (approx midnight) and the first thing I do in the morning (approx 6am!) I KNOW things can change in that period as they did when my case was sent to the UK, but it is very, very frustrating being in this limbo period.......... Packet 3 signed for Aug 21st, Medical was Sept 3rd, and I was advised they began processing my paperwork on September 20th and the approx wait time is 4 weeks.

Sounds like our timelines are similar - your packet three was processed on the 20th, ours on the 25th, maybe drop them an email and ask what's going on? Imagine you will get news very soon now!

I wonder with no CEAC update what would have happened if our Interview letter was lost in the post, as the interview falls within their stated four week period, and we would not have known to turn up (I am exceptionally patient compared to a lot on here lol, and wouldn't have called them to check, which in this case would have screwed us over)!

I did email them a few weeks ago to track progress, hence knowing they processed my forms on Sept 20th - I think there may be a delay as although I clearly stated on my forms my children were neither travelling with me or following after, they (the Embassy) said that although they had received my medical report they were waiting for the childrens.....to say I was cross was an understatement! This is when they told me the current wait was 4 weeks, but I think I may ring the DoS again this evening and see if they have an interview date logged yet.

I was so hoping to be in the US the first week of November as I have sold my house and this will be my completion date, but I cant see that happening unless I hear very very soon!!

Personally I would email them rather than call (although by all means do both!) as on the two occasions I called DoS I found to be a complete waste of time as they neither know nor can tell you anything useful, or advance your case in any way!

Explain your circumstance in the email and ask if you can be considered for an early interview and make yourself available for any last minute appointments (if that's possible!) - hope is not lost for the first week of November if you get an interview around the 22nd like we did!

I emailed the LondonInfoUnit this morning to add my wife to the access list and they responded within an hour, so it might be a good time for them!

We sent our DS 2001 on 31st August - London confirmed receipt on the 6th Sept and emailed me last Friday to say they were taking four weeks to process forms. We are now at five weeks since forms were received - still no interview date. Getting anxious because my medical was done back in May :(

Got interview date set for 25th October! Hopefully my all the documents have rotted away after sitting in my folder for so long. Status on the CEAC website was changed on October 10th, so only just over 2 weeks between that and the interview. Good luck, people.

Looking out for CEAC update isn't always the best thing to do.I received no update regarding the logging of my forms or my interview being assigned .

Forms sent /medical 8th August

Medical logged 13th August

Forms logged 9th September

4th Oct Embassy told me to wait approximately five weeks after my forms being logged to receive a interview date

Just going off gut feeling I call dos they confirm I have a interview date Oct 22nd

11th Oct packet 4 arrives dated 9,th October

So all In all I'm just a few days short of the five weeks wait after my forms being logged to receiving a interview date

Those of you still waiting ,hang in there your time is comming!
