A few weeks back I would of been horrified at the thought of this but right now I'd be ecstatic if this was the case ,I think I'll be going past that date with the way things are going right now though

Comparison of consulates here http://www.visajourney.com/content/consulate-k1-historical
Using that, London is taking 81 days (based on VJ members with timelines) and trending up.

You don't have a timeline, but nobbie's does so using VJ averages, he will finish Oct 15.
Jola on Oct 20
Master Semaj Oct 28

May you all beat the averages.

Just wondering... How long did it take from ur forms being logged to receiving the interview date?

Had medical on 7 Aug, sent forms on 6th and signed for on 7th. I had an update on 13 and 15 Aug which were my forms and medical being logged. Letter dated 23rd Aug for Sept 23rd interview.

Thank you AZ and Tracey, they told me they have my forms and are processing them last Thursday and I should expect to receive a interview date "shortly" so I was assuming I'd hear something this week but maybe my shortly is shorter than their shortly lol .I guess I should know something by next week as it really can't be "shortly" after two weeks

My fiance and I are still awaiting an interview as well. His forms were signed for August 27th, and we had a CEAC case update on September 16th. With a wedding coming up in 3 weeks, we are VERY nervous hoping his forms will be logged and interview set in time for the wedding. Anyone gotten a interview set recently? When I call DOS they just keep saying his forms haven't been logged. Someone mentioned in another forum that school visas may be slowing other visas, so I am assuming that is what is happening to all of the k-1's like us that are waiting.

That makes sense about the school visas and whatnot. My fiance was telling me that while he had his interview a large amount of the people in line were there for student it seemed

I've heard many people say the hold up is due to student visas but you would think the sensible thing to do at this time of year would be to run the interviews in the afternoon also or employ more people to stop the back log but I guess that would be too easy :-/

In the afternoon, they log files, update CEAC, work cases that had to send more documentation, work cases in AP, print visas, and answer emails.

It's not just students, it's tourist, business visitors, media, exchange visitor, medical visitors, religious workers, interns.....list here of all the non-immigrant visas http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/niv_visa_categories.html

The 2012 statistics for visas issued by London--

3,558 immigrant

98,951 non-immigrant

102,509 TOTAL visas London

Looking at that, you can see that immigrant visas are only 3.5% of their work. K1s are sharing that category with everybody bringing a spouse, child, parent, adult son/daughter, etc.

That is more than 400 visas issued per work day they average. Kinda makes you marvel that you somehow will actually get through.

I would seriously think about changing your wedding date. My interview letter was dated 23 Aug for a 23 Sept interview, then there is the wait for the passport to return.

I hope anybody waiting receives their interviews soon. Its really useful to know the approximate time to interview from medical results been sent back. Thank you everyone!

Still pretty fresh from my medical on the 13th but CEAC logged the results (apparently) on the 18th so now they have everything from me, its just a matter of waiting. I saw in other threads that some people called up DOS to check their updates and find out if they had an interview date assigned before they got their actual letter and some got told about it during the call.

Is it worth doing that in a couple of weeks time? I intended on calling up to just clarify my recent updates anyway since you don't get any actual details of the updates, just the date.

I did not have a CEAC update when my interview was scheduled. My letter was issued on 23rd Aug and I got it a few days later. Interview tomorrow.
