We sent it a copy of our venue rental with our wedding date on it with a nice letter asking for a sooner date. I don't know if that helped or not, but it seems to have since we have an interview a week from today. When you send in your Packet 3, send proof of your wedding date with it. It can't hurt to try!

Packet three already sent, but a letter can't do any harm I guess. Thanks and very best of luck for your appointment :)

Thank you! And we sent our's after we submitted the Packet 3, so don't worry about that.

Firstly, congratulations to all that got their dates!!!!

I just filled in the readiness form online tonight. The wait begins!! They should have an e-mail confirmation or something, I would have felt better if they had a field for that just so that I know it actually went through.

What happens if during my wait the date on packet 3 expires?

Packet 3 (instruction letter) doesn't expire. The I-129F petition approval (NOA2) expires. Your letter from London tells you what to do to revalidate the petition. Read it again for the details.

If your NOA2 expires it's pretty easy to fix it. You just need another letter of intent and make sure it's notarized (your bank will probably do so for free). Send the original over.

Correct.

Thanks to our lovely embassy taking 6 weeks to schedule an interview, when they finally did it was 1 DAY after our petition expires. I just had to spend $50 to get YET ANOTHER letter of intent to her, notarized, in time for her interview.

I did go to my bank and had it done, no hassle.

Having one of those days where I'm sitting and waiting for my interview letter to magically appear and its driving me INSANE. Sometimes feels like I'm waiting for my letter to Hogwarts or the golden ticket in the chocolate bar! Argh!

Consulate e-mailed me last week to say I should expect it "within four weeks" of my forms being logged which was October 2nd. That's tomorrow... really, really hope it appears tomorrow, would be awesome as it is my other half's birthday tomorrow! Come on embassy... give us some good news as yet another year goes by where I send him yet ANOTHER amazon gift certificate and e-card for his birthday. Please!!!

Anyone else feel like they are slowly losing it waiting for this step??

This has been the hardest part, way more difficult than the whole Vermont --> Texas thing and so on. I have realized that every time I call DoS I get a different answer. Today she said:

-waiting on paperwork, so he needs to mail that in (told her he did and was previous DoS folks have said).

-not waiting on paperwork and not in AP, that only happens AFTER interview (previous guy said that it was in AP til "qualified" then interview date is issued" so we're just waiting on a date.

This was over the course of 3 minutes. If they had a better system of showing the steps in this process it would help a lot of people. I don't want him to find out about the interview just a week beforehand, so thats why I've been calling DoS. The packet 4 letters seem to have scattered timing.

I agree this is the toughest part, it feels like the finishing line is in sight but it keeps moving a little further away!

I received my packet 4 interview letter on Thursday for my interview on Monday - but I did email the embassy weekly stressing I was available at short notice!

My ceac updates went from ready before the interview, on the day it changed to ready for interview process and fingerprints, to now, the day after, when it says in administrative process. So it does change wording as the process moves along.

Good luck everyone, it think things are moving faster now all the student visas are done. Saying that whilst I was at the embassy yesterday, from 8.45 until I left at around 11.45 they only seemed to get through about 8 immigration (I) visa applications. Countless N ones!

Hurray, talked to Chris at DoS and he said that it says they're waiting for a date to come available. THANK GOD there has been some kind of movement/change. I did pick his brain to make sure he was reading that since I'd had different answers before. There was no CEAC update or anything.
