We called the DOS yesterday and found out, surprisingly, I have my interview on 20th November. My forms & medical were received on 10th October, and case was updated on 27th & 28th October.

So all in all I suppose I'm bang on average, though the lack of (proactive) communication is unsettling.

Question: Supposing the Package 4 letter never arrives, what should I do about paying the Visa/Courier fees?

You can go online to the website and pay them any time. The fees are good for 1 year I believe.

Make sure you pay the visa fee first, then the courier.

He'll yeah I can make it!!! ?.

I am still in shock!!!!!! Off to a hotel in Oxford for the night then bus journey at 5am tomorrow should give me time to get to goulds and drop off my bag of belongings....?

Congrats to everyone getting interview dates! We're now into the 7th week since having our stuff logged. But all in all very optimistic.

Will be calling the DOS tomorrow once again. GB

We rode the coach in from Oxford....well actually from the Thornhill Park and Ride instead of the station near Gloucester Green in Oxford.

Do you know you don't have to go all the way to Victoria? Most of the Oxford coaches have a stop on Park Lane near Marble Arch before going all the way down to Victora Station. Saves you time and just a short walk to the embassy.

Enjoy your day!

Yes thank you Nich Nick, I always get off the oxford tube bus at marble arch..... I have lived just outside of Oxford most of my life so I know London pretty well.... It just saves messing around with busses in the morning to get to Oxford as I don't drive and I don't want to wake my son up at 4 am.....?

I am really excited, thought I would be nervous but it came out of the blue so I haven't had time to think about it..... All I know is I could still be with my fiance by thanks giving. ?

Thank you again and thanks for all your help and advice going through this process, I don't think I would be at this stage without vj...

That is mighty lucky, great for you! And to everyone else who has got their dates this week.

There's not much to stress about. It's more or less an easy process from what I've heard.

Ok thank you. I know I have a while to wait, but both the engineer and boyscout brain in my head is always trying to be prepared.

This new development on their failures to notify you of your interview date is a concern of mine. My fiance has a mild case of asperges (I'm hoping since that's not depression, she won't require any other info during the medical) and I know she'd feel a lot more comfortable if I flew in and went to the interview with her.

Kind of hard to book a flight when that time comes if I don't know when the date is ha ha. Hopefully they hire non imbeciles before my time comes.

You are doing the right thing by reading the daily chat for London. You learn all kinds of stuff. I think London is reeling from many changes they implemented starting in the summer. Not getting a letter is not epidemic by any means. By the time you get there it will all be running smoother and faster.

And since I have read the London chat for 5+ years, i am aware of previous Asperger's cases. Some posts about experiences at the London medical for you to read.
