you will get a letter with interview date, or call Dos to find out if a date has been set. You do not have a timeline so its not easy to see where you are in the process.

Thanks very much, sorry for the lack of timeline, I'll set it up tonight, I completed my embassy application medical etc about a week ago, is the DoS number this one:

For inquiries about visa cases and the application process call: (202) 485-7600

Or is it another buried number

Thanks again!

Congrats! less than 2 weeks, thats great news.

Nice! I am a fan of October generally as it's my birthday month! tongue.png

Excellent news! I'm glad it's only in 2 weeks time.

Thanks a bunch guys, finishing work next Wednesday (yes!), giving me 6 days to prepare, though all I need to do is have my US sized passport photos printed and check over my document list 100000 times :)

After scrolling through internet pages all evening, I've found people in the same boat as me! I hate this wait, just chuck all in a room together and issue those K1 visas please! I'm going on 4 weeks since my DS forms were sent in and 24 days since my medical. Good luck to everyone

Matt

The embassy received my medical results on the 16th of this month and I got a letter yesterday with my interview date. its on October 18. I thought the interview was usually like a month from the letter. anyway i'm happy its not too far away.

We have submitted our paperwork, but not the 260 form. I need to call NVC tomorrow to see if I can get an invoice # since the DOB method didn't work. Does anyone know if they'll still process the others, or is it all on hold til the 260 arrives? He did get his letter after Sept 1st.

Basically everything collects there until all they need is received. Then they give an interview. There isn't a a lot of "processing" other than recording received. It does say to send the DS-260 confirmation so I would send that with the forms.

Interesting that YYYYMMDD didn't work. Did you use Steven's birth date? Right order, no - or / ? I guess they lied when they updated that K1 instruction page.

I also just found a post you made about the I-134 in the consulate forum and answered it. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/456968-i-134-questions-plus-additional-income-information-how-to-include-it/

You are the first I have read that has tried it as a K1. They just updated the K1 page with that info about birthdate.

I got a letter yesterday morning (dated Sept 26th) with my interview date. So that's six days after readiness forms were logged.

So happy. October 23rd. Our NOA2 expiry is Nov 10th so I was fretting about that a little, but no need now.

Good luck once again to everyone who needs it, whatever you are waiting for!
