UPDATE....

I just checked with NVC / CEAC and it says "IN TRANSIT" I am so happydancin5hr.gif

So the whole process at the NVC took From Aug 9th to Oct 1st -- 54 days

kiki2013

AP means that they are doing some background checking from what i understand.

I don't think it takes more than a week or so to get to the Embassy, well at least i hope!!!!!

we will call on friday to see if they got it and then find out what we need to do next.

I don't think it matters what filing center it comes from, i think it is who ever gets what packet first. I am sure there is alot of agents looking at packets and processing them so it is just luck i think...

Good luck star_smile.gif

im now at a 43 day mark (NOA2 aug 19) since it took USCIS longer than yours to send the file to NVC.

sorry if you dont mind me asking, what is the exact link where you check your case status if you dont mind posting it? are there more than one?

Well my situation just got completely turned around. On Monday I called DOS and the lady said my file arrived at NVC and that in a few days I should have my case number. I called today and now all of a sudden my file is not at NVC and "Robert at DOS" says he doesn't know why she told me that because they can not see if a file arrives, only when it is issued a case number. I called NVC and confirmed that the news is accurate....My file has not arrived yet. Why would that lady say that to me, I was so excited and happy for the last couple days just to have the rug pulled out from under my feet. Now here I sit, waiting and watching the clock for the next opportunity to call again and again and again. Robert was very apologetic which helped ease the pain but really, why would she say such a thing. They need to train their people better, toying with my emotions like that was cruel.

No case number yet but they received our petition at the NVC today. NOA was August 22nd. They'll all come soon so just hold on in there.

Did your case status change? Or did you call NVC and they told you that?

Honestly, I love DOS people. They r the best! so easy to reach and they r usually more polite and helpful, literally give you what you want/need :)

unlike NVC, whose wait time is FOREVER....

I've given up trying to talk to a real person at NVC for now. My phone battery died, waiting on hold this morning.

My fiance says to just relax and not pursue it anymore, let it happen when it happens. I hope we get a notice sometime soon.

Will we get the notice via email or only by mail?

call DOS, literally you just wait for the answering machine, then press 1 (for english), then they speak again and u dont even wait for all the options but just press 0 to speak to someone, and they pick up within 30 sec! try them! 202 485 7600
