Just a random question.... We got approved last week and received the email that our case was send out to NVC yesterday.

My fiance is filing out the affidavit of support form and is gatherin all the documents. I am sure he will send those to me within the next two weeks.... What if it takes 8 weeks until NVC sends out our case to my embassy? Do you guys think it will be a problem that all the forms and letters from his employer and bank etc. were dated end of September / beginning of October?

Thanks for your thoughts

Not entirely sure what OLU is, but the email is signed "Project Liaison Team - Office of the Director - USCIS"

If it's been over a month and NVC doesn't have your papers, it might be worth emailing OLU. I'm assuming it's their job to make sure things are running smoothly. Found their email on USCIS site randomly and the response was so quick. It was the only answer we got about where exactly our papers are.

i am considering emailing them myself just to be sure. what exactly did u email them? a scanned copy of you NOA2 and just asked where your case was?

it is somewhat comforting knowing that there are many others in a similar situation..maybe USCIS/NVC is just being slow as opposed to making blatant mistakes and mailing our case to NRC or smtg like that

I am pretty sure you will be absolutely fine with all your forms and papers. its a minor date difference in this entire process.

Thanks again for your help.

Did all of you got an email from USCIS that they sent the approval to the NVC a couple days after your case was approved? I am wondering if this is a good sign that we got this email just 4 days after NOA2 or if this is very common.

just an update:

i emailed NVCinquiry@state.gov 12 days ago asking about the status of my NOA2 dated Aug19th (30 days ago) , and today i received an email response from them:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your inquiry. The National Visa Center (NVC) has not
received your petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
(USCIS). Please allow at least eight weeks from the date USCIS approved
your petition for us to receive it.

NVCInquiry@state.gov

so now they say 8 weeks....already halfway there..

still no response from nvcresearch@state.gov but i emailed them only 2 days ago so i guess USCIS is indeed still holding my case/hasn't sent it yet/ NVC hasn't logged it as of today (30 days)

hi erico!

congrats on NVC having received your case!

i am assuming you meant to say they received it SEPTEMBER 16th not aug 16th, right?

etiher way thats amazing, im sure things will go quickly from now on.

i also see you are the texas service center, i am california, im realizing california is moving slower than texas and vermont which is a bummer, but we r all hanging in there. nothing else do to anyways :)
