We were approved NOA2 on Aug 19th, (california center), and today I called NVC and they STILL dont have our case.

are there others like us or should be prepare for errors and delays?? (i pray we havent been mistakenly sent to NRC instead of NVC like some people)

Mine was approved Aug 13, after somany calles to USCIS and NVC, finally when I called Sep 13 to NVC they told me they recived that day (Sept 13). So mine took exactly a month. Jonathan, I would think you need to call USCIS and talk to superviser or an officer who can tell you what is going on. Kiki, you might here from NVC this week if not keep on calling USCIS and ask where your file was sent and where. Good luck guys!

Thanks. We have been calling daily. My fiancee was told by a Tier 2 officer that the file was sent July 24 and still NVC say they don't have it. Thanks for the advice. I'll try calling USCIS now

Just called the USCIS to be told they can't discuss the case with me as I'm the beneficiary and not the petitioner. They don't make this easy do they?

average record of receipt at nvc is taking 5 weeks

when it is received it is viewed on their screens as received, but no case number

approximately a week later the case number is available

everything I sent to nvc was not logged as received in their system until 3-5 days after the actually got it

basically you are looking at 6 weeks average for case numbers these days

:(

hey guys thanks so much for all this feedback, it's somewhat comforting to hear im not all alone in this :)

i did some research, and realized that according to timelines posted, from california service center (like mine), the ones that have only recently (friday) started getting information that their case has finally reached NVC, are those with NOA2 date of Aug 13th...so i guess i still have another week or so before i should really start getting worried.

still, it's quite annoying, considering i optimistically assumed (based on historical timelines) that NVC part is the shortest in this whole process and that it's almost 2-3 weeks from NOA2 to embassy itself...ugh times have changed i guess.

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the USCIS Service Centers forum -- topic involves the administrative speed of the USCIS-to-NVC process. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Right there with you. We were approved from CSC on July 10th 2013 and still nothing. Calling NVC and USCIS hasn't helped... as well as contacting congressman. We only got a response from emailing OLUInquiries <OLUInquiries@uscis.dhs.gov>. They replied in 1 day telling us our case was sent to NRC instead of NVC.

Department of State told us that we really shouldn't be waiting longer than a month, while others said 8 weeks, and USCIS tried to cover their asses and say 90 days.

After one month, we should have been on the case. Here it is 2 months and we have just now found out where the papers are.

The same situation here too. Approval date on August 13, but NVC has not received our case yet. They asked us to email them the hard copy of NOA2.

Our NOA2 was August 23rd. It was only 45 days from NOA1 to NOA2, so we were feeling like this was really going to move right along, haa. Still waiting for the notice from NVC. Our NOA2 notice says to wait 30 days before inquiring, so we'll wait til the end of this week, then call. I'm glad I read these messages here! I was beginning to really stress out about the delay, but I see it's normal these days.
