On September 14, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

If you do not receive your document, please contact our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

This one is under , the case statues for the I-485 and the Card document one is checked production, When I went and checked on the employment and travel one , it hasnt changed its statues. Does this mean his green card is approved and on its way , or it will be the employment auth?

I got the same update 10 days ago, then my case status changed to 'decision', the next day. One status talked about the card coming within 30 days, the 2nd update said 60. Either way, Sept 14th is your date of approval. My card came 7 days after that date. Hope that puts your mind at ease a little smile.png

Yes, I got the same update you did, dated 4th September. On 9th Sept I got a welcome letter and on 11th Sept my green card arrived in the mail! It seems to be fairly standard, I received my EAD 7 days after approval and also my AP (applied separately) on the 7th day after approval.

I'd say you're good to go :)

You did not have an interview, did you?

I am really happy for you, but I just can't help but wonder what order the NBC processes our applications in. Is there ANY kind of order at all? I have been waiting for more than six months and was just told by them that I might have to wait another six months because I am one of the "lucky" interview waiver cases. We all pay the same amount of money, so why do some have to wait so long, while others get approved within a few weeks? Just doesn't seem fair...

There doesn't seem to be any apparent order whatsoever.

My AOS was approved on the 6th of September without an interview, only two days after my EAD was finally approved on day 81 which at that point was about 2 weeks longer than the average on VJ. I was expecting to wait another 6-9 months like you, HK12. Even though I am extremely happy (and lucky, I know), I wish that they processed the same application at the same pace everywhere in the country. But unfortunately, as everybody here knows, that is just wishful thinking.

Good luck to all of you still waiting!

Edit: Congrats to you BKelly, I was just as surprised as you. At first I actually thought it might have been a mistake, that they had actually meant to send me an RFE notice or something like that. A couple of days later I received the welcome letter and I guess that's when I realized that it was really true. Consider yourself very lucky!

No interview , he did however go to the service center , im assuming this would have been the same place for interview , and the women that did his fingerprints and such , was at the door when we all got out and he headed to the door , she seen us all , the baby , my 5 year old and me and of course him. Weather this had a bearing ive no idea ... The kids and I however did not go in . We headed across the street to the River and park. We did wait for a year for the first process to go through. We figured we would get the employment auth and such , at the end of this month , not the whole green card , figured we would be in for at least a 9 month wait, as do others , from what I understand its a 50/50 chance of an interview. They say its by case by case basis . I agree it should run faster then it does . I really feel for yall and hope you guys get yours soon! Im just hoping its not a system glitch , or they have messed up our case.

Thanks so much for the congrats , same to yall , it would be nice if everyone's moved this fast. But then again we have not received the mail yet aka welcome letter nor anything else . fingers crossed its not a system or case issue. We shall see. Good luck to all those waiting ill let yall know if it indeed is the green card , at any rate the ead would be nice to . But if it is the GC so much stress taken off at least until 90 days before the 2 year is up .
