I have an Indian family living on one side of me and an Iranian family on the other -- she IS the girl next door.

That being said, Indian people are very talented, and value education highly... it's no wonder they are successful. I know they've been very successful at spelling bees and other academic competitions as well.

First of all the experiment of broadening the "diversity" beyond Europe is relatively new, a few decades old, so lets not clap our hands so quickly especially when you consider housing and life social patterns.

Research shows "diversity more than any other factor" causes social disconnect.... despite the myths that abound.

SInce most immigrants are from third-world countries and are more likely than the average citizen to be on the dole, I doubt they their meager contribution to SSI is even off setting their Gift from the "earned income tax credit"... assuming they work.

I don't mean to be overly negative on the subject but when the myths are repeated with religious fervor a little balance is needed.

Again Diversity at best.... is meaningless and so often a divider not a uniter.

When one considers the huge percentage of our immigrants are coming from Mexico and below.... one doubts their contributions to the Gov't are a net gain for us especially in light of the fact that nearly 50% of people as a whole don't pay any fed income tax.

Untrue. Chinese have been coming to this country since the 19th-century. Mexicans have been living in this country (part of it was Mexico) for a few hundred years. You may have forgotten about the people who were brought here by force from Africa, and their descendants. Irish weren't considered Europeans, or at least the "good type," Italians either. Now no one bats an eye at Italian or Irish immigrants.

Cite some of this research, I doubt its validity.

Well whites and blacks make up about the same percentage of welfare recipients at around 39% each. That's 78%. Hardly leaves room for a majority from 3rd world countires

I know lots and lots of Philippinos in this country. Never met one on public assistance
