I'm not seeing the submissive part that I heard so much about...yet that's not what I was looking for.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

You all would be speaking German today. The middle east would be different. No Jews would be alive in the world. 3/4 of the people reading this board would have never been born if America had not won its independence.

?? Lets think about this for a second. America as whole would have entered the war in 1939 rather than late 41.

The revisions are always "pro Germany" Don't you get it?

Also, how would have WWI turned out or the British domination of the entire world?

It's an impossible scenario to ascertain based on them winning the revolutionary war.

I would like to think we would be invaded by a planet of hot alien women that kept us as sex slaves

I'm a liking this idea more and more, as I creep on into my old age.

Or maybe I've been watching Heavy Metal movie reruns too often ...

[side note - I didn't see it when it came out - my father not allow it]

?? Lets think about this for a second. America as whole would have entered the war in 1939 rather than late 41.

I thought about it, back in the '90s, with a small panel of Marines, during a sit-down quiet kegger.

What we came up with - was this:

USA is a capitalistic country. The folk that wanted to go to war earlier, were countered by the folk that realized that lots of materiel needed to be made first, to support troops overseas.

Materiel costs money. Must to prep all, so that the fellas that wanted monies actually received it, from the fellas that wanted to purchase the materiel.

and

it was a nice, back-room deal at the time.

----

Can't say it was right or wrong, we did no further research to validate our claims...

In August, Newport, R.I., police were called to a Marriott Hotel room where Alexis said he was being followed by three people and heard voices coming from his closet. He couldn't sleep because he thought they were using a microwave machine to send vibrations through the ceiling, the police report says.

I know guys like that. However, most of them live in the desert near power transmission lines.

Asian chicks, FTW!

If I ever go the K-1 route again, she'll definitely be Asian.

They need to train you guys in the art of actual "combat" and you wouldn't feel so insecure in the private sector.

I received the commander's award for excellence after achieving a perfect score on my final exam in the Ground Combat Skills course. Not everyone in the Air Force flies planes, you know.

What they never (formally) taught the Marines and what every Airman got to see first hand was the vulnerabilities of what happens behind the scenes. Can you imagine being in actual "combat" without air support or resupply? If there was nobody moving fuel, food and fresh bodies up the line, the machine would break down.

America's strength as a military fighting unit lies in it's ability to quickly overwhelm the enemy. Once we occupy and hold an area our tolerance for attrition is rather low. We're a pretty soft foe when it comes to drawn out fights. It's logical to assume a breakdown of society here in the US would be dealt with as swiftly as possible but if it wasn't quickly contained, the military itself would just as quickly disperse.

There's more to actual "combat" than just running with a bunch of heavy stuff and yelling "Oooo Rah!"

I see. So any law that can be broken should not be passed, ignored or put away with. We should only pass and have laws that cannot be broken. Which means that we should not have any laws whatsoever. Brilliant! rolleyes.gif

We should not have any new laws or add more laws to the laws that already don't work.

Considering I would have no rights even after the revolution being a minority, poor and probably uneducated you could see why I wouldn't give a flying f#ck who won that war.

Today's America is a far cry from their idea of what America should be back then.

You might want to check up on some minorities and their involvement in that war. Many were already free men and/or gained their freedom (and pay) through service.

After the war many went on to be quite successful.

I don't think you understand the corps or what the logistics of combat are as a Marine. I can't even imagine what an Air winger would do in a ground combat school. Sounds like a waste of government money. Do they give out those awards with a happy meal?

All of your assumptions regarding Marine training are totally inaccurate. We have are own air support and we resupply our own troops. If anything the Navy supplied our air support.

But you keep up that fantasy of the superior Air Force ground combat skills. At least it was worth a good laugh...

Now back to planning your revolution.

Yes you're so right. Upon his death Jefferson did indeed free his slaves. Such humanitarians.

Stop watching Mel Gibson colonial movies.

Minorities may have been "freed" but they were not considered citizens like their white counterparts. If it was so great, we wouldn't have needed a civil war.

Revisionist teachings only go so far.
