That's the typical, "How can we talk about guns at a time like this?" response.

The only time to talk about guns is when they're used for something GOOD, obviously..

That's the key, but unfortunately a lot of people are willing to accept this as reality. That sometimes, these things will happen. They shouldn't be happening at the rate they do in this country.

I think there are a million factors that play into why.

agree...We have got to figure out what is making these people do this. I think the publicity is part of the problem. i don't know how you fight that

Not really but i have often found when you rush to judgement in ongoing situations it often comes back to bite one in the buttocks, just like the O' ####### GZ assaulted his ex with a gun story the other day.

All I am saying is we need to have a rational debate about the root cause of this instead of politicizing it to further an agenda.

I don't know either, because these stories can't be ignored. The media turns them into week long events, with their own music and graphics to go along with it, though. Which is tasteless and unnecessary. It's apparently hard to find a happy medium between reporting the facts and turning into a circus

Agree, but you can't stop the media so what to do.. I have no clue

Making it a gun debate is going to trigger a months long goat rope that will get us no where and accomplish nothing.

we have got to figure out the root cause of this.

We can't have one because if you say gun control, folks think you are going to take the guns away, and it turns into a shouting match.

It's difficult to have a rational debate about stories like this, because ultimately, the talk turns to guns. And nobody on either side is capable of being rational about that discussion. I don't believe guns are the ROOT of the problem, but I certainly believe they make things easier for those who want to carry out ####### like this.

Realistically, you can't correct the root cause. That's why the tool is the target.

Yep, folks want to remove all guns, so folks can't defend themselves.

Update, there are more than one shooters. Two are down, sounds like there is at least one more.

Or have to

I wish you didn't need to, but sometimes the bad guys don't play fair.
