Nobody supports felon being able to purchase a weapon. Even the current laws restrict that so not even sure what your argument is.

Can you show me a state that allows felons to make a purchase?

What about felons right to vote, should they be allowed to vote?

Felons can purchase guns in any state where private in state sales are pemitted without background checks. It's been well documented. Sure, a felon isn't allowed to purchase it but since there is no checking, who is to prevent it? You basically have a law that you cannot enforce. That's an issue.

No...in your mind maybe...but not in reality.

The US armed forces would just drone you to death. No boots on the ground needed.

And keep in mind...you can't hit a satellite with a .50 cal.

What makes you think the US armed forces would be functional after a breakdown of society?

Satellites are no good when there's nobody monitoring the signals.

How should they purchase their firearms than?

I'm baffled when our president says we need "more background checks" when these dudes are purchasing their guns legally. Only a ** would suggest a bigger government fix to a problem that doesn't exist.

You've never been in the military have you?

It's kind of funny...but continue the video game in your mind.

The more urgent issue is that that felon who fails the background check can simly walk across the street to the nearest gun show or go online and purchas eall the guns he desires anyways. No backgrond check required. Makes no sense. It's like allowing the private sale of alcohol to underage youth that can't buy alcohol at a registered, licensed retailer.

Was any of the gun used in recent mass shooting purchased via pvt sales?

Not that I know of so why is anti gun lobby wanting to find a solution for what is not the problem?

When a felon fails a background check DOJ has his imformation, do they follow-up?

Nope admin did not care about it, they wanted more laws without enforing the existing ones.

We already covered that. Those individuals purchased the firearms legally according to the laws that you say are sufficient. They're obviously not sufficient which is the point that I have been making all along. Having venues for felons and otherwise ineligible purchasers to easily acquire firearms no questions asked is a problem even if it doesn't result in mass shootings. Why should private sales be exempt from verifying that the buyer is eligible to purchase a firearm?

I thought you guys were for less government?

This is what happens when you have less of something.

Just issue a weapon upon exit from prison...that's a better idea.

When they fail the background check, they do ot acquire that firearms. mission accomplished. If tere weren't alternate venues where they can go and buy them anyways without any questions being asked. Makes no sense. Again, that would be like reqiring licensed alcohol retailers to verify the age of a buyer while allowing private alcohol sales at booz shows without any requirement to verify the age of the buyer.

Can't felons steal guns in any state too?

It's like allowing the private sale of alcohol to underage youth that can't buy alcohol at a registered, licensed retailer.

Uh.... I'm pretty sure that happens quite a bit more than firearms transfers.
