Here is what I said.

They [the mass murderers] were legal, lawful gun owners until they snapped and turned into mass murderers. So yes, there are most certainly some legal, lawful gun owners out there that I'd rather they were disarmed.

It is fairly easy to ascertain that I was referring to the Aaron Alexis' and the Seung-Hui Cho's and whatever other sickos that lawfully own firearms are out there. You rather have them able to legally obtain firearms and be armed? What kind of a sick nut are you?

There are thousands of gun owners out there but you claim anyone would snap anytime so you would like to disarm every single one of them - is that right?

I said anyone could snap - not would - at any time and that is certainly true. However, I think there are usually warning signs. Today, these warning signs don't trigger any action whatsoever. Nothing. And I happen to believe that they most certainly should. There's a public interest in making sure that the mentally unfit do not have access to firearms.

Oh yes there are people like that on this board.

I meet people all the time that believe that...I'm not kidding.

I also meet hunters that say "some of those guys at the gun shows are nuts".

If you ever have a chance to go to a gun show you'll see the most extreme people you'll ever meet. All of the sellers believe the government is taking over and we're going to internment camps.

Here's a hint...they already took over.

There are people on this board that believe that.

The NRA is awesome with fear mongering.

You believe it or not Obama, Bloomberg, Biden have been the best salesman for gun manufacturer and ammo companies in recent months it was not NRA.

There was time when a major sporting goods store in my area did not have single gun to put in their gun case, they were displaying gun cleaning kits.

You make the call if people feared NRA or admin.

By the way I was never NRA supporter (I could never agree with some of the things its members do) but had to go with lesser evil of both.

One could start simply by disarming NRA members. I am sure they have a list somewhere, so Obama Storm Troopers should simultaneously raid all NRA offices and do a thorough search, brick by brick if necessary.

Salesmen because they suggested background checks? We'll that sounds rational. no0pb.gif

Anyone who fears a background check has something to hide.

Believe me, if the United States really wants you dead, they've already dug the hole somewhere.

The government fear is the definition of insanity. Face it, they are in charge.

You did not say anything about improving the mental health condition or providing ppl with issue right medical treatment; instead you jumped on the anti gun wagon and were suggesting removal of weapons from every single civilian.

I did not see Dianne Fienstein saying anything about improving health care but she just jumped saying it’s time to restart the gun debate.

That's the point, really. The crowd that made a run on guns and ammo are by and large irrational people. They believe that any debate on making sure that every gun acquisition is accompanied by a background check means that black helicopters are about to descent onto their front lawns. They think that this would necessarily mean that they're coming for their guns. Nothing rational about it. It's quite idiotic, actually. And that idiocy was carefully fostered by the NRA.

I was most certainly not suggesting any such thing. You will not blame your failure to understand what you read on me. That is an issue that you need to work out on your own.

You have to admit the psychological profile of these individuals exceeds certain thresholds for abnormal thinking.

Even if the government "did" take over, I'd actually feel safer in a camp rather than with a rag tag bunch of mad max egomaniacs. But that's just me...

It was not just the background check, I am sure you are looking away from the restriction they have implemented in some states including limiting number of round in magazine, banning the weapon just based on how it looks.

Let’s assume you do not have anything to hide you are nice good guy. Does that mean you also support govt collecting all your personal data without a warrant and a cause?

I wonder if the people in the cafeteria were saying, "Gosh, it's a good thing we don't have any guns in here and only the police are allowed to be armed." I wonder if they felt safer that way?

Legal, lawful gun owners? Aaron Alexis was a legal, lawful gun owner. I know you don't want to hear that but it's true. No law was broken in his acquisition of the firearm with which he murdered a dozen people. Your argument is what fails. Most of these mass murderers lawfully acquired their murder weapons. They were legal, lawful gun owners until they snapped and turned into mass murderers. So yes, there are most certainly some legal, lawful gun owners out there that I'd rather they were disarmed.

And reports of gun purchases without background check requirements are plentiful. Happens every day. If it didn't, nobody would fight to keep those venues open and in business. And yet, that is precisely what the gun lobby continues to do. T them, it's all about gun proliferation and sales. The tens of thousands of dead bodies produced by this campaign is something they walk over over without regret.

I was most certainly not suggesting any such thing. You will not blame your failure to understand what you read on me. That is an issue that you need to work out on your own.

Here is what you suggested in red... you don't know who will snap when so in essence disarm everyone.

You can repeat that falsehood a million times but that won't make it any more true. You do know that some is not the same as all, don't you?
