My name is Michael.

I'm not them. I'm me. I'm not responsible for them. I'm responsible for me. You attacked my skin color. Let's make the playing field level & you stop being the crybaby hypocrite every time I point out your racism & I won't cry when you point out mine.

Deal?

Nice to meet you Michael.

I didn't attack you or your skin color. My comment was directed at NB in jest. As much ribbing I get for being black(jokes or serious intentions) I didn't see the problem. If you were offended, my apologies.

Once again, it's the black man who apologizes first. Whitey wins again.

Hey, the white man didn't get to be on top by just being mean.

They got there because they're better than the rest of us.

Fact.

I wonder if you'll be called out on this. Just saying.

The facts on the ground bear it out. The truth can't be racist, can it?

Depends on who is delivering the message.

Why are you ignoring my first comment? You know, the one about the racist comment that I was talking about? I call out racism in every form. Something you clearly can't fathom.

White hate? My sons are half white. Get your facts straight before you try to correct me.

Deny & deflect. You do NOT call out your own racism. You justify it & deflect it with a victim defense.

Here's my point = Be accountable.

(if) You're gonna beat up on hate then be sure to include yourself in the whooping = You are guilty of perpetuating hate.

I was offended by your joke. If it wasn't clear b4, surely it's clear now.

IMO - Racism is not a joke nor is it "drama". I am sensitive bcoz people dear to me (Black, White, Asian & Hispanic)have been victimized by racism. I see their pain & it sucks.

I need to reconsider participating in the discussion coz I apparently take it too seriously for some in this forum. I will give that some thought. (I expect "teddy" will agree coz he prefers slapstick comedy over my "drama")

Read Guns, Germs and Steel...it explains why. It's not exactly what people think.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Some things never change..Yes I walked many a guard duty with an unloaded M-16

My friend on FB asked, how this can happen on base without an over whelming quick response..Here was my response

Weapons and ammunition are tightly controlled on bases. You are not allowed to have ammo outside the firing range usually, unless you are an MP, base police etc. All weapons are stored in a secure weapons locker. In order to respond they would have to be issued their weapons,do an ammo request, get clearance from HQ etc etc. You would get a quicker armed response in almost any County Neighborhood. Military bases are 100% gun free zones if you want your own personal weapon

When I walked guard duty during Basic/AIT, we were given a magazine with three live rounds that was to stay in the ammo pouch. The magazine with the rounds was turned turned over to the Sergeant of the Guard when the tour was over, who verified the magazine contained three live rounds. That was around late 1982 or early 1983 at Fort Lost-in-the-Woods.

I was busy writing my diatribe. Didn't see this. Apology accepted.
