My bad again...the article stated "Aaron Alexis of Fort Worth, left the Navy in 2011"

I for some strange reason thought that "of Fort Worth" meant he lived in Texas.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Looks like the majority of Democrats in the Senate went along with it, as well as about 40% in the house. I doubt it would've mattered who controlled both houses at the time

Great. That wasn't the issue, though. The claim at hand was that Democrats controlled Congress at the time. That was most certainly not the case.

You would have a hard time concealing an AR15 tucked in your belt.

who most recently resided in Fort Worth, Texas.

Resident of Texas. That is a Texan.

due to assignment - you should know that does not make one a resident while in the military.

It's rumoured he held a CC permit. Sad day for the families of all those who lost their lives because some selfish moron decided to hit out with guns.

i'm finding that odd, given his episode of road rage.

Alexis was also arrested in Seattle in 2004, according to the Seattle Police Department, for "shooting out the tires of another man’s vehicle in what Alexis later described as an anger-fueled 'blackout.'"

Friends who knew Alexis in the west Fort Worth neighborhood where he once lived described him as an easygoing guy who practiced Buddhism and spoke fluent Thai -- but who steadily complained about a lack of jobs and money and liked to carry a pistol in his belt.

Ah, the shooter was a gun aficionado. Who would have guessed it? Good guy with a gun. Until he turn bad. Like all the rest of them.

But ppl here really want to try these things in their real lives

And they have easy access to the weapons to do it with. The NRA makes sure of that.

So a black man with anger issues?

Thousands of well meaning people work years to tear down stereotypes and one ##### shows up and ruins it.

White men seemed to have the monopoly on mass/serial killings. I guess this is another sign of racial equality in the U.S.
