(CNN) -- Shots were fired Monday morning inside the Washington Navy Yard, the U.S. Navy tweeted.

The incident occurred at 8:20 a.m.

Three shots were fired at the Naval Sea Systems Command headquarters, in southeast Washington, D.C., the tweet said.

Watching this story right now. Sounds like the shooter is barricaded inside of a building. I was stationed there back in 2000-2002. Too many places to hide and very little security. I hope this catch this guy soon.
