Congrats to my fellow immigrant visa seekers, applicants and petitioners it appears AP cases in Islamabad Embassy are being cleared. More than 5 cases I knew are cleared after 6 average months.

Now what currently I am facing is a Immigrant visa interview on 20th August in which the Visa Counselor asked for Union council divorce certificate. Now the docs were sent on 27th August and till now the case appears to be in AP. The question is am I facing the notorious 6 to indefinite waiting time or when they will get the docus will review the case.

In the email they replied they havent gotten the docs as yet ( sep 3rd ). The counsilor stipulatedly told us as soon as he see the docs would be less than 2 weeks till the passport is returned.

Please advise. Jazak Allah o Khair.

It takes the embassy a while to get documents from the mailroom and process them. Your case will be in AP until they review the documents. No one can tell you how

long it will take. It could only be a few weeks or several months. All you can do is wait and pray. Keep checking the ceac.state.gov website.

Thx for the reply, fingers are crossed my anniversary was on sep22 and I asked almost 8 to 9 times if this is gonna happen in a matter of days, week or months the VC said 2 weeks but the mail room bottle neck explains why ! They processed 30k visa in 2012 and I witnessed them under staffed.

Got the passport done , I think pakistan embassy is opening up.
