NEW immigrant fee

My wife recieved her visa and passport.

I am trying to pay the immigrant fee,

I dont know what is her Alien number.

is it the registration number on her visa since there is no Alien number on it.?

it's on the visa.

starts with an 'A'.

but..

need to add a digit, a zero.

it's printed as

A12345689

so add the 0 between the A and the 1 - ie

A0123456789

it should be on the stamped visa..Try to find the number start with A.. if u didnt find then it should also be on ur i-130 approval.

doesn't work like that, approved 130's do not have an A# on them

i am afraid you are wrong, though you are a platinum member you must have updated information so that u can guide others in their journey. No offence plz... but I-130 approval hard copy notice does have A# right infront of beneficiary name. Correct me if i am wrong >>> Alien number assigned to the applicant or beneficary by USCIS not DOS (NVC).

the approval letter is in paki. and my wfe cant find it at the moment.

and it honestly doesnt say a anywhere on the us visa. only registration number.

if registration number start with Alphabet "A" then you are good to go.

you guys are all wrong. I just talked to the lady at uscis she said its not on the I-130 approval letter. its on the letter of packet that we recieece with the visa. but its a seperate sheet with the a number on it.

also if we dont find that then we can wait when she arrives and they will stamp it in her passport

dude, sorry but it is not on noa2

if you have a noa2 with an a# that would surprise me. I am pretty sure one has been assigned but it appears in NO place on the noa2 unless there has been a recent change.

the reference to the platinum thingy is unnecessary and is generated by the site, not by yours truly

I have gone case complete at nvc and do not have any a# reference anywhere

don't know who is right and wrong but i have my NOA2 in front of me and there is clearly written A# and then following 9 numbers in beneficiary name column. But who knows may b u r right.

Yes Usman Bro ! you will find that number on the Visa , if you look on top right of the Visa you will see DOS Number , which is your case number.

and if you look down to that case number you will find registration number , that is your Alien Registration Number.

You just need to add A0 in the start of your registration number.

for example A012345678.

Yes, for a K-1 petition approval it does show on the NOA2. They are speaking about the K-1 in the thread from 2008 that you are referencing. On the NOA2 for CR-1, however, it is not listed - I just checked ours.

When I was paying for my parents immigrant visa early this month, i was confused as well but there was no A # on their visa, instead it's the registration #. Just put A0 before the other numbers because there is only 8 and they are supposed to be 9.
