Is the interview just one day?

So we were finally able to schedule the interview. I thought that the interview was only one day, but my fiancee heard that one day is for fingerprints and another day is the actual interview? I've been doing some reading and I can't find confirmation of what she heard, although I have a feeling its probably for another visa (marriage visa???).

Can anyone confirm for me that the fiancee visa is only one day? Thanks.

Sorry do not see where to edit my earlier post. Anyway.

So more research results in more questions.

From http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=China&cty=Guangzhou, it looks like the interview is 1 day, but you need 2 days to do the document in-take and fingerprint? "IMPORTANT information regarding preparation for your interview

As of Monday, December 6, 2010, Immigrant Visa (IV) applicants processing at Guangzhou will be required to go to the Consular Office on the date specified on the appointment letter for fingerprint and document intake. The applicant(s) will be required to return the following morning for their interview.

Fingerprinting and document intake Monday – Thursday: 12:30 – 14:30
Interview Tuesday –Friday: 07:30 – 09:30

Applicants will be given their Visa Appointment letter (containing their name(s) and Final Processing) with a stamp. The stamp will inform the applicant to return the following morning at 7:30am for their IV interview. The applicant must show this letter with the stamp showing the correct interview day’s date in order to be given access to the IV waiting room. RSO Security will need to verify this information before letting the applicant(s) into the IV area"

Is that process for fiancee visa or for marriage visa or both? Is it still up-to-date? Her appointment is on a Monday so is it ok for her to show up for the document in-take/fingerprint on Monday or should she go on the Thursday before? Thanks!

Uhh, our interview was about a month ago. They fingerprinted her and did the interview all in the same morning. That information seems out of date. You do need 2 days though, one to do medical and return to pick it up the following afternoon and another day for the interview.

From late 2010 to this year, it was a 2 day process (document intake and fingerprinting occurred on the first day, the interview took place on the second day).

A few months ago (around the time CGI-Stanley went live), it has reverted to a 1 day process.

Therefore, if her appointment date is on a Monday, then everything will be done on that Monday.

My fiancées interview was two days. Aug 1, 2013. There's a medical a day early. A red paper... And they did fingerprints and such . The big runaround. The day of the interview there was nothing to do but wait at the embassy door. And there was a shot after the applicant was approved. On our second interview Sept 3.
