I went there last march & arrived at 6am. I suggest you come earlier cause it was a long line & the only first 15 persons are allowed to have the morning session though there is also an afternoon session (but i do suggest do attend the a.m) Just bring i.d, forms & important papers. It was a very educational & enjoyable seminar & I met really nice & friendly people. God bless & have fun!

Manila or Cebu? Manila has 15 slots twice a day. Cebu has 12 slots once a day. So yes arriving early if you want a chair is important.

Best tips I can give is; be self-assured, confident, smile and look the interviewer in the eyes when speaking to them.

There is a CFO section in my guide. Follow the flashing arrow below.

My fiancée enjoyed the CFO. She told me that a couple of questions that tripped attendees up were:

Your fiance's mother's maiden name?

The address and ZIP CODE of where you are going to live?

Also, wouldn't hurt to make sure you have the phone number to your fiancé with you. You will need that for forms/ counseling AND they give you a few minutes to call if you are missing some information. Like mother's maiden name and ZIP CODE!

Relax, be confident in your answers and you will do JUST fine!

Good luck!! :)

Read this too! EXCELLENT write up! My fiancée used this to prepare! Thanks again Ann!! :)

I still don't understand that mother's maiden name trick they are still using. no0pb.gif Maybe it is their way of seeing if you know how to quickly reach your fiance. Cuz if it weren't for VJ, my mother's maiden name would have NEVER come up in conversation. Just asked my wife, and she remembered what it was after 10 seconds of thinking.

Knowing the petitioner's mother's maiden should never be missed it is that well known here on VJ.

Knowing the petitioner's landline was added some months back, and I bet as that get better known CFO will come up with another requirement to try and catch someone.

One question I bet doesn't make the interview at CFO; Can you name the man and/or woman at CFO who have been known to try to extort money in return for the certificate?

I'm not sure either actually. Must be some Philippine Government Jedi Mind Trick "These aren't the Droids you're looking for..." Kind of thing. Lol.

You were just a second ago... now poof!!! You aren't anymore! Magic!

CFO it seems strived to be more difficult then the actual visa interview... an act of self-importance maybe?

I'd LOVE to hear what PineappleGirl had to say when a CFO agent tried to bribe her for her certificate...
