After the bill shows "PAID" for the applicable track, there is a bar code sheet you print from the payment portal.

You will not receive a receipt: This excerpt was taken from the travel.state.gov site:

Will I get an online receipt or confirmation e-mail when I make my payment online, so that I know the payment was successfully completed?

The Department of State will not automatically send you notification that your payment was successfully completed; however, you can print or e-mail a receipt when you make a payment online.

As to what to do next, look here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html

It is a guide on how to prepare for the interview! You're almost there... hang in there!

AOS Paid? Print Coversheet, download I-864, fill it out, send out to NVC.

IV Paid? Print Coversheet, fill out online DS-260, submit civil docs with coversheet into NVC.

That's about it, really.

The I-864 is downloadable.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
