yes you fill out a form too

no it is not a red flag

please go back into your PI forum and through the various k-1 postings.. PI rarely if ever these days accepts a cosponsor for a k1

the 134 is not the actual sponsorship document, it will be the 864 here in the US.. the 134 is a type of a promissory note

Yes you both complete the I-134. And I would suggest you both complete the I-864 as well. Yes your not working can be a big red flag, USEM can be very difficult with the K-1 regarding accepting co-sponsors. I would suggest including a letter explaining why you are not work - full time student or something valid.

thanks for the reply.you said that PI doesnt accept co sponsors for k1 does that mean that he could be refused a visa? =(

i said rarely, not that they don't.. there are plenty of discussions in your PI forum about this

I am not sure how it works if they do not accept a cosponsor at interview time.. I am sure someone has been through it already and will chime in about what they did about it

... psst! This IS the Philippine forum. ;)

And yes his not working is a red flag. The why he is not working is the key here.

From what I've seen, if your earnings are close to the poverty level, and get a co-sponsor to make up for the rest, then you are more likely to get approved. If you are way below the level or not earning anything at all, you will have a much harder time getting an approval with a co-sponsor in Manila.

I don't know that you would use the I-864A.

Were you working before your had your baby? Do you plan on going back to work?
