I know the reasons. My husband is Mexican, so I understand it very well. It was just a basic, simplistic statement about the system. Those that entered the US illegally or used a tourist visa to get to the US and stayed before my husband ever had the desire to visit are the reason the CO saw him as 'guilty' of wanting to circumvent the legal immigration system as soon as they saw his visa application.

"My husband is Mexican, so I understand it very well."

So, I am trying to understand, Mexican=visa denial?

This thread is about tourist visas. All the illegal Mexicans in the US make it difficult for a Mexican to get a tourist visa. Also, having a significant other in the US makes them believe the applicant has immigrant intent and will not leave the US if granted the visa.

There was more to the conversation and just that one sentence you quoted from me. It was about fraud risk and why it is more difficult in some countries to get approved for a tourist visa.
