I find it ironic that so many people here on this site are struggling to do this process legally and being ignored by the politicians, who are doing everything in their power to help the illegal aliens already in this country and streaming across the border, by giving them amnesty, welfare, jobs, education, etc.... And yet I have to send every kind of financial document I have, also sign a statement, saying that my beneficiary will not wind up on welfare. This is total madness. The thought has crossed my mind more than once that I should just fly my fiancee to Mexico and walk her across the border.

We all did it and because of it our families are safe and have all the benfits and privileges accorded to US citizens. The visa is the easy part.

I guess I could get rich by robbing banks also. Not for me. I sleep well at night knowing my family is safe and legal.

I really don't care that they were "brought here as children through no fault of their own" That's B.S. Children pay for the mistakes of their parents all the time. What about all the children that have 1 or both parents locked up because they broke the law? Should we give them special treatment? I mean after all their life sucks through no fault of their own.

First they need to fix the LEGAL immigration system before they even look at this DACA business. It's silly that it takes a year to get your spouse here legally. Of course that will never happen because both political parties are now falling all over each other to get the Hispanic vote.

This post was an oasis of logic.

Immigration is meant to serve the needs of the nation first... not to serve the interests of those who wish to come to their chosen destination spot in life to life.

Absurdity is the mother or more absurdity! That people can stream into this country and legally get driver licenses and a whole lot more is one level of absudity and because of that we have others suggesting the real immigration process should be easier.

Todays immigrants are not like yesterdays immigrants, they had no safety net, which is why so many went home, the strong and industrious stayed, today we are a magnet for the weak and unproductive.... so we need a lengthy process.

Amnesty of any type, mocks those who do things the right way...... but this trend of mocking good behavior has been the hallmark of Government for decades now.
