I would say the threat of tornadoes, hurricanes, drought, and flooding, but New Jersey had its share of hurricanes, so that is not a reason not to locate.

were tornadoes and hurricanes an issue, no one would live in florida.

California is about to go big on fracking, despite all the complaints from the hippies. When that happens in the next few years, California's economy is going to explode.

fracking on a fault line. great idea!

As the housing crisis was starting, Florida was one of the first dominoes to fall. People were fleeing, even those who already owned their homes outright, because insurance had gotten ridiculously expensive (three types were required in FL because of hurricanes, and this was shortly after Katrina, so rates had skyrocketed). This, combined with an over-saturation of new properties, caused home values to sink like a stone.

So yes, hurricanes do effect where people choose to live.

The closer they frack to Pelosi the better. Glad we've already toured San Fran. I sure will miss The Tadich Grill but...sometimes we all have to make sacrifices.

Pelosi most spends of her time in D.C., giving speeches to anyone that still listens to her, and being accessible to the press, now that she is no longer speaker and no longer in the order of succession to the crown.
