Nikon D70 and Canon 400D? Has anyone used it before?

Nikon D70 is pretty obsolete... I have a D40x they don't make anymore and it's been a pretty good camera. It does some things I'm like "huh?" about occasionally though. For example I'll have the focus right, the speed, the aperture and ISO but the picture will be blurry? The D7000 is a great camera and I'd get the D7000 as my next camera if I had the funds. Even a D90 is a great camera.

Oh if you can find a Mike's Camera in your area, they often have classes where they let you use equipment.

Try popular photo or shutterbug for magazines. If you like to do stuff with photoshop there is practical photoshop for beginners and also a magazine called digital camera, both that are more expensive but give you cds of stuff to learn.

That's what i don't like from Nikon, sometimes it makes pics easily blurry. Nice thoughts, thanks ;)

I'll be super honest, it's likely me. Maybe I move it too fast or perhaps its because it's had sand in it so maybe the auto focus in the lens isn't working properly (most likely the cause.) I think having the auto focus in the body is much better than in the lens so as long as you stay above a beginner camera, you should be fine. Oh and keep it off the damn sand! LOL

But i would write off a D70 as they haven't made them in a few years. Stick with something a bit newer. I prefer nikon because I love the nikkor lenses and I find the Nikon better suited to how I would use the camera. I've played with Canons but where the buttons n stuff are aren't as intuitive to me.

Cool. Good idea. Thanks again :D

I need to get myself busy with bunch of stuffs since i'll be a 24 hours loyal house wife before the EAD in hand, LOL.

Few days ago i chose to get busy with the photography and hoping that the D70 will still be out there cuz i like the fitures so i can use it for temporary ;)

Huh?

there are websites for serious amateur photographers here in the USA.

Some are a part of magazines, some are a part of the manufacturer, some are part of societies or clubs.

Those 2 cameras are for serious amateurs.

I guess you not find any, and think to ask in a DIY Immigration web portal.

ah - you are seeking to purchase used gear in Jakarta before the jump? I suggest seeking used gear in the USA, instead. Why? weather conditions in USA mostly not the same in Jakarta, so is no need to hermidically clean the insides, removing the tropical bacteria from the lenses or electronics.

---

Also, it should be cheaper in the USA.
