Thats great but you are a K1 and there is no comparing what has been happening with I-130 petitions.

FreeByrd you are looking at best 9 to 12 months. However hopefully and I am praying hopefully for all you new filers the new service center opening Sept 28th in Kansas will turn us back to last August through December when approvals were coming out of USCIS under 45 days.

Right now NBC is holding all petitions up to 5 months before they even ship out to the local USCIS office.

After USCIS approval (NOA2) its off to NVC. Local offices also misshipped petitions to wrong places. They hold for weeks some months. I know many got approved in 45 days took over 70 days to get to NVC.

Than there's NVC who are having all manner of chaos. What use to be 21 days in and out is turning to a 2 month at best now its 3 to 4 months to get case complete. 30 days to review AOS package, 30 days to review IV package. Than the wait for interview

And unlike the K1's we can't schedule our own interviews so again we are at the mercy of NVC.

So to paint that for you all being said prepare for 9 to 12 months. Sooner great. But unlikely. Just pray this new service center opens things up and NVC gets their act together. But I would say for you you are looking at summer time to be complete.

Ohh I didn't realize there was such a difference in times! SMH, should have known that the government would have found a way to make things even harder for people, ohh at one point I thought it would have been easier to cancel the k1 and get married!
