How long before we hear from USCIS?

Hi,

Our AOS was received in Chicago on Monday, December 4th. How long before we hear from USCIS? Do we receive an NOA? Do we have the same online USCIS status check as we did with the K1?

Not sure about this part of the process and couldn't find anything in the guides.

Hi, after sending AOS application, you will be notified that they received already your application with the payment. Notification by means of 1st NOA receipt, you will read at the receipt ... importantly is the receipt case number & instructions that you gonna be awaiting for another receipt of appointment for your Biometrics. When you got that 2nd NOA (biometrics) and attend the schedule and another waiting coming.

Though you will received RFE if they asked more evidences, NOT if they find it complete and maybe transfer it to CSC for possible "no interview" approval OR just stay in MSC for awaiting of interview schedule. AOS processing timeline is 6 months .. although alot of speedy approval right now with or without interview.

Waiting is just the least we could do and please always aware of online touches or notices, you could log-in your (online) the AOS receipt number in your AOS & you could check it via phoneline by instructional key-in your receipt number, most importantly always check your house mailbox for you to be upto-date with your AOS case.

we filed about the same time. please see our signature below. we received the NOA notices in the mail today and then added the receipt numbers into the USCIS online case tracking so we can received email notices. good luck to us!

My AOS packet and EAD was also received on Dec 4, Monday, according to the USPS website. I just checked my bank and it seems they cashed my checks yesterday. Woohoo! At least that's a good sign, right? Movement and no returned packages yet. :)

Yes! If they cashed your checks, they aren't going to be returning your applications. Look for an NOA next week.
