Having gone thru this process. I can only say that if he had a psyichal (sp) befor ehis interview then he probabaly does NOT need a new "medical". You need to do a little research to find a local doctor who does the papers you need. If you have records of his vaccinations then he probably will be ok. He might need maybe one new vaccination. It is very IMPORTANT that you find a doctor who is familiar with this process and the papers he needs for medical.

As for an "official" marriage cert. That should be available from the "courthouse" very soon--check with them. If you get your application and ALL papers assembled well and then you submit you should be OK. We got our temp. permanent residence interview in about 3 months and it was very easy.

Listen to me-- I've been there and done that. You need to follow AOS guides here on Visa Journey. Find a doctor who does Immigration Papers ( I will help you if I have too). Go to the Doctor and get your documents done in sealed envelope. Get your, I think I-84 docs in order. Fill out ALL papers correctly. Then submit. You will be fine,, It will happen. Just takes time and to be complete and careful w your papers. Not a big deal. Mike

He does not need another medical. He needs to see a civil surgeon to make sure he has all the required vaccinations and have page 1 and the vaccinations page of the I-693 filled out by the CS. See the I-485 and I-693 instructions for details.

Juarez gives no vaccinations. For AOS he is required to have at least one in a series of MMR, Tdap or TD, varicella(or history of chickenpox), and a flu shot(only during flu season, which starts in Oct.) If he has vaccinations records from MX, bring them with you to the CS.

You will need to call around to find a civil surgeon that will not insist on another medical or charging you for one anyway. This thread is long, but you may find someone near enough to you > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/231026-civil-surgeons-who-dont-rip-you-off/

Or try searching VJ for civil surgeon [name of your city and state]. That may narrow the search for you.

You need a copy of the certified marriage certificate you receive from the court after your marriage is registered.
