Sad to say this but from experience, I was 40 and my husband was 28 and we had no issues. No here I am again marrying and I have 20 more on my fiancé. I don't think age difference is or should be a issue. We don't chose who to love cause our hearts are the ones that lead us. If a relation is real and they see its real then you should be approved.

I wish you the best of luck

I am 22 years older than my husband and we didn't have to jump through any extra hoops to get his approval, we were just honest and we have a real and solid relationship. They are mainly looking for fraud. That being said I did join him at his interview and I am sure that helped significantly, however I would have went with him to the interview no matter what. We were approved in April 2013. Best of luck to you and try not to worry too much about it.

May God bless and keep you always~ May your wishes all come true~ May you always do for others~ And let others do for you~

May you build a ladder to the stars~ And climb on every rung~May you stay forever young

You can not be denied based on age alone. You must prove that you have a truful relationship,by the way Iam 26 year older than my fiancee we were put in Administrative Processin for 6 week , i think they check a lot for evidence that the reationship was real, yesterday they call my fiancee from the Embassy and said they aprpved the visa

If you between 40 and 60 will be fine but if you over 70 will be a problem ... you did not mentioned the range.

let say I am 80 years old for sure my petition will be deny; but if you are below 40 and can support your fiance

I do not see reason, I do not know if from Pakistan is easy to claim someone; that should be your mayor worry

not the age. at the end all goes to the consul at the American Embassy in Pakistan this morning I was reading

a deny visa from pakistan in this VISA JOURNEY FORUM

good luck you going to need it

'Sir Patrick Stewart, 73, married his longtime girlfriend, Brooklyn singer and songwriter Sunny Ozell, 35.' No word if they are immigrating however.

hello everybody ..i need your help ..actully there is 15 years difference between me and my wife age ..i mean she is 15 years older then me ..does any body knows if the USCis or NVC will make that issue or deny our petition ?does age difference happen ? i am so worried so please help me .any kinda suggestion ll be highly appriciated ...sad.png

As long as you prove that you have had an ongoing relationship. You have met and she has met your family back home and has interacted with them over the years then you will have a better chance of convincing that you have a solid relationship even if she is older than you and it is against the nor of your culture that you marry older woman.

You will need to front load a lot of evidence as you prepare to file your petition. Make sure that you follow the portal for your country and study the process by others who have been through it already.

Ask questions and read a lot. You should make sure your wife visits you and spends time with you and your family and friends. YOU need to make sure you are not hiding your relationship from your neighbors, family and friends.

Time is your friend and the more time you two spend getting to know each other and accumulate evidence the more your chances will be higher to successful outcome.

I agree with everyone who said age difference is NOT a factor. When two people are in love, there are no age limits. I was very sensitive about my age difference in the beginning and I was concerned when I read stuff on Visa Journey about people saying it is a red flag.

Well, I am fine to say that I am 18 years older than my husband and it was never a factor ever. The important thing is that we are compatible and we love each other so very much.

So just concentrate about the positives of your relationship.

Good luck and best wishes! BTW, it is my hubby's 4th day here in Cali with me! We're heading to Venice Beach today! :)

Q. What publicly funded benefits may not be considered for public charge purposes?

A. Non-cash benefits (other than institutionalization for long-term care) are generally not taken into account for purposes of a public charge determination.

Special-purpose cash assistance is also generally not taken into account for purposes of public charge determination.

Non-cash or special-purpose cash benefits are generally supplemental in nature and do not make a person primarily dependent on the government for subsistence. Therefore, past, current, or future receipt of these benefits do not impact a public charge determination. Non-cash or special purpose cash benefits that are not considered for public charge purposes include:

  • Medicaid and other health insurance and health services (including public assistance for immunizations and for testing and treatment of symptoms of communicable diseases; use of health clinics, short-term rehabilitation services, and emergency medical services) other than support for long-term institutional care

Medicare and Medicaid are not the same thing or equal entities. Medicare is something people pay into while working and become eligible to receive the benefits of once they reach a certain age. The same as SS retirement benefits. Neither of those is public assistance.

Retired persons can petition for their fiance(e) just the same as younger, currently employed people can. There is no age limit for an I-129F petition or a K-1 visa. Again, you do not cite an actual source for what you are posting. "I know a guy who..." is not a source nor reliable. Please cite actual sources for the 'info' you love posting in extra large bold font. Since this is in the IR-1/CR-1 forum, I suppose you should also cite a source for an I-130 or IR-1/CR-1 being denied due to age and Medicare.

If so if he's from another country and you are filing again then that will be a major red flag on your part.

Just seen this response and yes my fiancé is from another country and so far no red flags. I believe this is because my first marriage was over 4 years and I have presented enough evidence to support my current relationship. I think what brings up red flags has to do with other factors other than marrying 2 guys from other countries. If men here had what I was looking for then I wouldn't be looking in other places.
