sad.png its probably that..how ridiculous that they want us to sign a letter and send it around the globe and back to them! If we are filing for this visa, isnt that enough intnet to get married? We even have a son together, like what more can they possibly need

It was in the I-129F instructions.

And it's also in the K-1 Visa Guide here, in the Guides section.

I'm sorry - that level of ridiculousness is on you, this one time, not USCIS.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

It takes 5-10 business days if you have him send it priority. My fiance is from Argentina too, and we're almost at the interview point, so don't worry there's hope!

Make sure you BOTH sign a letter of intent (one from each of you). I recommend signing the papers in blue ink (and filling them out/writing them in black ink) on a magazine so the imprint of the pen is visible.

Sometimes they suspect that the signature isn't original and send RFEs for that. Just so you avoid that!

So... the intent letter from my fiance (who is in Guatemala) will need to be an original with the signature?? Like I'm expecting a RFE on that and asked her to print it, sign it, scan it, and send it back to me on a email. Can some one confirm if this is wrong or acceptable? I thought they would ask to bring original documents for the interview.

Thanks

As far as I know, it has to be an original signature written by her and sent to you by mail not E-mail. That is what we did when sending in our papers.

It must be an ORIGINAL document.

Do not try to have her scan a color copy of the document and then you print it out on a color printer on this side.

I deal with U.S. Customs every day in my career. They are on the look out for this.

Do not forget, you will need an ORIGNAL G-325A from her as well. If you did not send it, you might as well tell her to send it as well.

Please keep in mind that some dates are only known after receipt of another document.
For example, the USPS Form 3811. The stamped receiving date was not know until the original Form 3811 was received on 07/13/2013 1:30 p/m CST.

Well, personally, I think paying a ton of money to have someone make mistakes on your file and cost you time, is ridiculousness, when there is all this information here, and on the form instructions, for free.

You are lucky that you got a second RFE. Usually failure to properly reply to the first RFE results in straight denial.

Both people need a letter of intent with original signature, not an email or scan.

I'll posit you have the wrong lawyer, and you've an RFE or two because of it.

Sorry.

Remember - VJ is a DIY site for immigrating to the USA, and mostly, the membership here loathes immigration lawyers.

Just saying.

Cool off man be smart they are working in your case Hey you are lucky, now perhaps you at the time forgot this little document that is easy to get.. do not be ridiculus

a lot of people likle you stil have nothing, take a look my timeline and you will foud that we are very close in the date we send the documents and I got nothing at the end it is what it is....

you stuill bitching without any reason; consider yourself lucky ... THEY KILLING ME MAN

Go ahead find the paper and sent it to immigration and that it your done (for now). Any way I am sending to you my CONGRATULATIONS YOU GOOD!!!

I would give anything to even get an RFE, anything to stop staring at that "Initial Review" on the USCIS website. Plenty people that filed K1 after me already got NOA2's and I've got nothing until now. To think my fiance is in the military near deployment which should've made it faster. Count your BLESSINGS. Not only did you get your file get worked on fast, you even got a second chance considering people get denied instead of the 2nd RFE. You say you're tired of waiting all the time? Other couples had to wait more than 6 months for theirs. You are lucky that California Service Center is approving everything warp speed at the moment.

Sometimes, being supportive doesn't necessarily mean just telling you what you want to hear, but also making you realize what you forgot because of your anger or frustration. I am simply giving you "hope" by showing you that you have been luckier than the rest and will probably still be luckier all through out. I never said you are not allowed to vent, I even do that too, but I tell myself others have it worse. If you want to read it That way, alright then. I'd love to use the "so bye!" comeback, but I'm not juvenile like that :)Nuff said smile.png Good luck with the process.
