You are new so you do not know that it is impossible, under the hate crimes law, to get a heavier sentence by not having the hate crime penalty attached. The special hate crime classification looks like this: You get charged and sentenced for what you actually did, then the "hate crime" classification means that you get time automatically tacked on to the sentence you get.

the offender may be fined not more than five thousand dollars or imprisoned with or without hard labor for not more than five years, or both. This sentence shall run consecutively to the sentence for the underlying offense.

You are falling victim to liberal logic: The sentence for the hate crime classification is an additional up to 5 years to run consecutive to the sentence for the underlying crime, which means it starts after the original sentence is served. Not adding those extra years means that the assailant gets a heavier sentence? You see any problem with that logic?

You have never shown a bit of concern or care for victims of "urban" crime. Today is no different. Skate on please.

It appears that in 'Melvin' Holden's little empire simply stopping for gas in the "wrong neighborhood" and getting knocked out for it is not a hate crime.

The beating happened about 11 p.m. on May 12 at a Chevron station on Scenic Highway in north Baton Rouge. Dickerson, who is black, is accused of knocking a white man unconscious after telling him he was “in the wrong neighborhood and he was not going to make it out,” according to court filings.

As you can see with the GZ incident, GZ was not the fittest in that altercation...thus should be removed from the gene pool.

The "cracker" in this instance was the fittest thus he survived and showed incredible character in forgiving the person who attacked him. He should be allowed to procreate at will. And the attacker will be now removed from the gene pool.

See it all works.

The thread is about why this piece of garbage isn't charged with a hate crime. The article pointed out quite clearly why.

What should be tacked on to a life without parole sentence? If convicted, the guy will leave prison only with a toe tag. Wanna add 20 years to that? What would that accomplish?
