hello there, i am not sure if it's the right place to ask but i really need help here.

so i have a Bachelor's degree from a University in my homeland, now I'm living in the US and planning to apply for school to get a better future carreer (i hope), in my head now, i feel i wanna go for Health Care. i have just checked a website of a university, and i read the candidates must have all these requirements, one of them is:

Bachelor's Degree: A baccalaureate degree in any major from an accredited institution of higher learning is required. It is desirable that the degree include a breadth of liberal arts courses.

from that, i assume that i need to do something called --credential evaluation? since i got my degree from outside the US.

am i right? can somebody tell me more about it, please? i did read about it, but what i mean here is, if one of u experienced it, please share, please (the system is just a lil bit different compare to the one we have there in my country.

thanks for your time/help smile.png

I got my MSc from my country and when I applied for PhD I only presented my diploma and the official transcript (back in my times it was called a supplement in my country but it looks like an official transcript here).

I got it translated but my school was offering it in English (or for some small fee) up to 6 months after graduation. I needed it after 6 months so I got it officially translated. My friend (now a USC) graduated in the same country before they started issuing a supplement (it was introduced to match the EU standards) so he got accepted to a graduate program here in the US based on some other documentation like his student record I believe. I may ask what he presented to the school.

Talk to your school about what service they use to evaluate foreign schools. There are a couple. Joseph used IERF and they take his degree and the classes he took and their knowledge of the school and translate that into classes he would have taken and grade he would have gotten. Different organizations specialize in different degrees.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

The main question is: where are you trying to get? If you're going for another BS/BA then your previous degree IMHO doesn't really matter unless you want to transfer some credits. If you're trying to get to a graduate program then you do it based on your previous degree and then your HS diploma doesn't really matter.

This.

Call and ask to set up a meeting with an admissions counselor. Hash it all out with them! Good luck!

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.
