One of the essential freedoms is the "right to associate", we should be careful about erasing this.

Naturally the School should have the control over these groups but on principle we should allow people to form groups and organizations based on any legal metric they want.

Problem with this line of thinking is whenever something is white only, they make it racist by the actions within the group.

I personally don't have a problem with like minded folks getting together to hang out or address issues. But these all white groups always target black people, and that's my problem. And I can't understand why they need to be in touch with their whiteness? When did being white go out of style? In what universe is being white not the in thing?

White-only groups have been targeting black people ever since white people showed up on this continent and a few years ago, DESPITE ALL THAT, a black man was elected President in free and fair elections where both black and white people showed up to vote.

So it would seem to me that all the targeting isn't really working.

In which case, why let it bother you? They're not having much impact. Heck, a Klan member just joined the NAACP... how much more meaningless can White Pride get?
