4 Sentenced to Death in Rape Case That Riveted India

Hanging is a pretty shitty way to die. And it's a pretty strong message that is sent. Should be more than sufficient as a deterrent.

Just becuase these four losers decided to brutalize a woman in a manner that not even animals would brutalize their prey doesn't mean that society now ought to lower itself to their level. Think the message that this verdict is to convey is that it is NOT OKAY to rape and brutalize. You don't send that messages by doing the same.

Truth.

I honestly don't know what to think about this.

On one hand, they committed probably the worst crime you could possibly commit. Not only did they rape a girl, but they raped her to death -- I couldn't imagine a worse way to die.

On the other hand, killing them makes those imposing justice no better than those committing a crime.

I wish people would come up with a form of punishment/rehabilitation that actually improved lives, as opposed to giving victims a sense of revenge and closure. I'd think that forcing them to do service/labor which would be conductive to good would do more to make amends than just slaughtering them.

What would Xenu do?

I agree to a point. But the question is, what would it be? Raping someone to death is something I can't even fanthom how to make amends to her or her family.

That requires a mind a lot brighter than mine to answer.

It surely isn't possible to fully make amends, but there must be something they could do that could help her family more than just lining up to die.

Slavery, perhaps?

All executions should be public.

We should all know what we are voting for.

I remember the story of this womans rape being posted here when it happened, by AJ if I remember correctly.

Imo, the death penalty isn't good enough for these animals. They deserve a very slow and torturous death.

Hand them to the mob....thats what they should had done with Kasab too.

I'm not for it, but in this case I hope so.

Nah, I'd prefer them being taken out behind the chemical shed and being shot in the head. (V for Vendetta ref btw ftw) No reason it needs to be a spectacle.

I'm fine with what is going to happen. A private hanging. Slavery is... unnecessary.

Slavery was suggested half-jokingly. I still don't think hanging really does anything for the victim, though -- in the worst case, it just puts them together with the victim in the afterlife. Perhaps they can properly apologize there?
